Your Question On My Manifesto[edit]

Thank you my friend, hopefully i'll be able to answer your question.

I believe we need as many viewpoints as possible without being too complex, so a bicameral structure seems to be a good compromise.

The Lower house would be like an WP:AFD discussion -- all Wikipedians can propose and vote on policies and guidelines. The Upper house would work the same way, but would consist of a more select group of Wikipedians, perhaps Administrators or editors with more than a certain edit count. Contribution in the devloppment of haitian creole wiktionary[edit]

Kontribisyon nan pwojè Dikyonè an[edit]

Bonjou,

Mwen administratè nan wikipedya ak wikisource ayisyen.

Mwen mande nou sèlman edite chak fwa nou vini, yon ti mo, yon ti pawòl nan wiksyonè a. Mete lyen an nan paj itilizatè ou.

Mwen komanse yon ti fòm pou fasilite edisyon nou yo.

  • kite mesaj ak diskisyon nan paj yo, kite mesaj nou si nou genyen kèk pwoblèm ekri mwen nan paj mwen : ht:itilizatè:Masterches
  • ...mèsi ankò ! Ede mwen kreye wiksyonè sa a, nou kapab fè li ! Nou kapab devlope li !

Pou tout kesyon, mande mwen san kraze tèt ou.

Contribution in the devloppment of the haitian creole wiktionary

Hi,

I'm admin in Haitian creole wikipedia and wikisource. I'm continuing the devlopment of the future haitian creole wiktionary. I'd like it to be a place where all questions of vocabulary could be solve quickly. Many of us are looking for a correct definition, vocabulary, sentence, or a large source of information concerning a word but remain disappointed due to lack of this information.

I'd like to invite you to contribute to the devlopment of this project. It's currently under aproval because we need contributors for editing the beta version (at http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/wt/ht ). The discussions with the admins are at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wiktionary_Haitian_Creole.

your first contribution could be very short, that's not a problem (for instance "Frans se yon peyi" will be sufficient for the first definition for France)

How to do it ?

thank you for your contribution.

Grab some glory, and a barnstar[edit]

Hi, I'd like to invite you to participate in the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. In May, about 30 editors helped remove the {{copyedit}} tag from 1175 articles. The backlog is still over 7500 articles, and extends back to the beginning of 2008! We really need your help to reduce it. Copyediting just a couple articles can qualify you for a barnstar. Serious copyeditors can win prestigious and exclusive rewards. See the event page for more information. And thanks for your consideration. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 15:22, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for signing up for the July Backlog Elimination Drive! The copyedit backlog stretches back two and a half years, all the way back to the beginning of 2008! We're really going to need all the help we can muster to get it down to a manageable number. We've ambitiously set a goal of clearing all of 2008 from the backlog this month. In order to do that, we're going to need more participants. Is there anyone that you can invite or ask to participate with you? If so, we're offering an award to the person who brings in the most referrals. Just notify ɳorɑfʈ Talk! or Diannaa TALK of who your referrals are. Once again, thanks for your support! Backlog Elimination Drive Has Begun[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to take a moment and announce that the July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive has started, and will run for a month. Thanks for signing up. There's a special prize for most edits on the first day, in case you've got high ambitions. Enjoy! ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 04:03, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder[edit]

Hi! This message is just a friendly reminder that you signed up to participate in the GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive. I noticed that you haven't logged a single copy edit yet. We'd love to see you participate! The drive runs three more weeks so there's still plenty of time to earn barnstars. Thanks! --Diannaa (Talk) 22:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE Newsletter[edit]

GOCE July 2010 backlog elimination drive chart

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive! We have now passed the halfway point, so here's an update.

Progress Report - Progress toward the targets has been good. 751 articles out of the approximately 1,600 we would like to get completed by the end of the month were done by July 15, so we will be very close to meeting the target for volume. However, we would like to clear all of the 2008 articles from the backlog, and there are still 892 left to do. Please consider choosing one of these older articles when looking for something to copy edit. If we focus our firepower we can completely wipe out 2008 from the queue.

Participation Report - 95 people signed up for the July drive. This is a great result compared to May, when we had 36. However, in May only one person that signed up didn't do any copy edits, and in July only 59 of the 95 have posted any copy edits on the big board.

The task may seem insurmountable but please remember that if all 95 participants copy edit just one article a day from now until the end of the month, we will eliminate 1,300 more articles from the backlog. So please consider participating at whatever level you can! All contributions are appreciated.

This newsletter was prepared for the GOCE by Diannaa (Talk), S Masters (talk), and The Raptor Let's talk.

GOCE drive invitation[edit]

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors

The latest GOCE backlog elimination drive is under way! It began on 1 July and so far 18 people have signed up to help us reduce the number of articles in need of copyediting.

This drive will give a 50% bonus for articles edited from the GOCE requests page. Although we have cleared the backlog of 2009 articles there are still 3,935 articles needing copyediting and any help, no matter how small, would be appreciated.

We are appealing to all GOCE members, and any other editors who wish to participate, to come and help us reduce the number of articles needing copyediting, as well as the backlog of requests. If you have not signed up yet, why not take a look at the current signatories and help us by adding your name and copyediting a few articles. Barnstars will be given to anyone who edits more than 4,000 words, with special awards for the top 5 in the categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words".

Science lovers wanted![edit]

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 19:00, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to join WikiProject Haiti, an outreach effort which aims to support development of Haiti related articles in Wikipedia. We thought you might be interested, and hope that you will join us. If you'd like to join, please sign up here. L'union fait la force! Thanks!

Hi Swilk, I noticed that you are a ht-1 speaker (excellent!) and thought I'd at least extend the invite to a completely revamped WikiProject Haiti. Cheers! Savvyjack23 (talk) 18:50, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
