Re: instructons

What or where is my "skin's javascript file" - we're not all computer geeks ;) Sionk (talk) 22:22, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Go to Special:MyPage/skin.js.  Hazard-SJ  ✈  03:49, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Since the project allows it...

Hey Tim, would you be willing to add the following to your script:

					 { label: 'Portal-class', value: 'portal' },
					 { label: 'Disambig-class', value: 'disambig' },
					 { label: 'Project-class', value: 'project' },
					 { label: 'Template-class', value: 'template' },
					 { label: 'NA-class', value: 'na' },

I have noticed that there are a few articles which will not allow tagging for the proper category and as a result it allows for articles to be improperly tagged. Thanks! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 20:30, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

And, this one:
'v': 'submission is unsourced or contains only unreliable sources',
+ 'ilc: 'submission lacks inline citations',
			'blank': 'submission is blank',

and...

[{ label: 'v - submission is unsourced or contain only unreliable sources', value: 'v' },
+ { label: 'ilc - submission lacks inline citations', value: 'ilc' },
{ label: 'blank - submission is blank', value: 'blank' },

Thanks! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 06:39, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Discussion

Would it be possible for this script to be used when you are just looking at the page rather then having to go to the edit screen? Thanks, Rcsprinter (state) 21:30, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

It should already. If it doesn't, there's something wrong. T. Canens (talk) 15:45, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Is working here (opera and firefox latestst at win 7.) (although only at WT:AFC and WP:AFC space). mabdul 19:57, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Not working on Google Chrome (latest version).--Ankit MaityTalkContribs 15:55, 18 May 2012 (UTC) Discovered where is the damn button.--Ankit MaityTalkContribs 16:10, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Could you change Blank submission to Blank the submission? See https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AArticles_for_creation%2FDan_Kristen&diff=493212470&oldid=493211985 to know why. I thought that it will mark the submission as blank rather than blanking the submission.--Ankit MaityTalkContribs 16:18, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Could you add the ilc param to your script?--Ankit MaityTalkContribs 06:31, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
To your first problem: we have a decline reason named blank.
To your second problem: did you check and followed WT:AFC? We removed that reason for a reason! I highly doubt that you really want to decline a submission because of that reason. Would you give us some examples when and where you would have used it? It's really likely that you misused that decline reason! Regards, mabdul 08:20, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
My first problem was because I was new to the script. So, the first time somebody uses this script they will tend to have the same problem.--Ankit MaityTalkContribs 06:38, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
In what way? What problem? Searching for a decline reason 'no inline references'? Then these reviewers should read the review guides again and if nothing helps, ask at WT:AFC/or anybody experienced - really: a really small percentage of declines (say every 1000th) should be declined because of missing inline references, but normally that is not the main problem and even if there aren't any: this is normally not a reason to decline! mabdul 00:31, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
By the way: In the next update the description of 'Blank submission' is improved. mabdul 10:41, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

The verifiability decline edit summary

I believe that it should be changed from "submission is unsourced or contains only unreliable sources" to "submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources". Thoughts? →Bmusician 08:37, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

a) the decline reasons are not stored here in the script (the script does only |d|v|) and b) why? If it is unsourced, then the decline reason is great! mabdul 08:23, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
I mean, the edit summary for "v" is "Declining submission: submission is unsourced or contains only unreliable sources"; that is stored in the script; I propose it be changed to "submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources", to match the wording of the current comment →Bmusician 06:36, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
The question is why did somebody change the decline reason in Template:AFC submission/comments so dramatically without asking? I have nothing against copy edits, improving, additions, etc. but that change? mabdul 10:14, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
