Unblock request of Ronnie Would

Hi Tnxman. Ronnie Would (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) has submitted an unblock request on UTRS: see UTRS #1714. Could you review the appeal and clarify of whom the appellant is a sock? AGK [•] 14:06, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Question about SPI

I was curious about this case and the similarity between the editing styles. [1]. You mention Their edits do not overlap, and in many cases, are from different IP addresses. I was wondering, was the IP changing pattern consistent with the sock master be being very cautious and resetting his router (and thus changing his dynamic ip) between each login with a different account? IRWolfie- (talk) 22:09, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

I don't know if this means anything, but I recall when filing that SPI that I was looking through the earliest diffs of the article and saw a number of dynamically shifting IP addresses making very similar edits & edit summaries in between Hour of Angels edits, almost as if a main account was forgetting to log in. Geolocate put them all in the same city using the same service provider. Like I said, it may or may not be significant. - LuckyLouie (talk) 22:26, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
The editors exhibited the same style of editing (marking things as minor) and the same idiosyncratic grammar see: Special:Contributions/Hour_of_Angels, Special:Contributions/Emilia-Romagna, Special:Contributions/Eddietrich, Special:Contributions/Guslarkachic etc. I would have thought this was enough to remove reasonable doubt. Does SPI require a smoking gun? IRWolfie- (talk) 22:33, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Please be aware that Tnxman is busy in real-life (and has not edited for a couple of weeks), so any urgent enquiries about SPI or anything else would be better directed elsewhere. AGK [•] 14:44, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

defamation

Hi - you edited the entry for "Sultan Ali Lakhani" some time ago (July 2009) and since then the page while short is full of fictitious articles by someone out to malign him. I would be grateful for your help in rectifying the matter. Can you please let me know how to go about fixing this - repeated deletes of the message result in them coming back by other users and the malicious individual. The references they give are all broken links, the language used to describe fraud is technically impossible besides being fictitious. I would be grateful for your help in removing the parts and giving guidance as to how to take control of the page by way of protection. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Traynork (talkcontribs) 21:17, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello,

I am attempting to repost the article you deleted called Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions. SPI for Justice4TM

I have created an SPI that is a bit of a special circumstance. Account is a SPA, which posted personally identifying information and hom addresses of those mentioned in the article, as possible threats. The edit has already been deleted, and the user warned, but based on the content of the edit and the way it was posted, I believe this is not a brand new user. I do not have a suspected master though. I know in the past you and other clerks have been able to identify masters/puppets even when they have not been suggested/proposed. If that is possible I think it may be worth doin gin this case due to the excessive bad faith of the post. In any case, I would appreciate your attention to the matter, and please let me or Edgar181 know if you need any further information/help. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:23, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Request

On The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus#Band members you'll see there are notes next to the band members name, Josh Burke, Randy Winter and Kristopher Comeaus. I have put the notes next to their names. But the notes are all the same but with differnt note numbers. I was wondering if you could make the notes redirect to one single note. --138.130.159.213 (talk) 00:07, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

AFC Backlog

Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 2549 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js which helps in reviewing in just few edits easily!

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial.
