Courtney Walsh, the leading Test wicket-taker for the West Indies, took 23 fifers in international cricket. This list of his fifers is now, I think, according to the FLC criteria.   • Why do we need to say "the sport of"?
  • Link five wicket haul the first time round.
  • " 22 five wicket hauls in Tests and one in ODIs" MOSNUM says this should be "twenty-two" and "one" or "22" and "1". And be consistent with hyphenation.
  • "off splice" is a bit jargon (in the quote) so may need to link this to something.
  • "pair of five-wicket hauls" so a ten-wicket match? Worth expanding and explaining the significance.

  • " Due to his man-of-the-match performance" not strictly true, he was man of the match and they won, it could have been a number of other factors (e.g. the opponent played poorly).
  • "Walsh was most successful against England taking 5 five-wicket hauls" again, another way of spelling out "five-wicket haul" and I would say something more accurate, like "Walsh took more five-wicket hauls against England than any other nation."
  • "He took 5 wickets conceding only one run in the match." should be "five" but this is outstanding bowling, is it a record?
  • This is truly outstanding bowling, yet he is three balls short of earning a place in the list. Didn't you come across any articles in Cricinfo? —Vensatry (ping) 17:33, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Cricket linked twice in the lede.
  • While we normally add a the before "West Indies", I don't think the "the" in "The West Indies won the match by an innings and 322 runs" sounds good. I'm not sure either
  • "Walsh took more five-wicket hauls against England than any other nation: 5" Shouldn't it be five?
  • The Kensington Oval in the Bridgetown/ Also "Alt text" should have the name of the ground.
  • I'd like to see an explanation for "Drawn" in the key
  • "He took 5 wickets conceding only one run in the match". This should be either five wickets for one run or 5 wickets for 1 run.
  • You could add a tertiary sort for the fifers based on dates or economy.

  • Ref 1 - You say it was published 17 August, page says it was published 16 August
  • Ref 7 has the date published in a separate sentence while Ref 30 the published date is in brackets

  • Comment - Another good list. Had a look at this list earlier in the month and fixed a few things and it's only improved since then. The alt text is currently inappropriate as per WP:ALT which says you shouldn't mention clothing unless the article is about fashion. It should also contain the name of the person in the picture.
