Notable distinguishing features are the lack of rostral foreshortening and dental formula: Mustela has a dental formula of 3/3:1/1:3/3:1/2. This animal has a dental formula of 3/3:1/1:4/4:2/2; this taken into account alongside overall craniodental morphology (moderately long snout with tall sharp cusps on teeth), it is likely a member of the genus Genetta. undo

How can we be sure that fractured canines result from giving dogs bones to chew, instead of the opposite? Not giving dogs bones to chew results in the weakening of teeth; seems like a much more reasonable statement to me. Without evidence we should not dress up naive statements as fact. undo
