If the term is meant to include older forms such as fully text games, then use electronic games without trying to also state it's synonymous with video games (though I'd note that even text games are displayed on a monitor, being telex systems aren't a thing anymore, and can be considered a historical curiosity not defining for the modern use of the term). undo
