The story revolves around the lives of two sisters from Agra, Simar and Reema who respectively marry Aarav and Vivan, the sons of the Oswal family, and how they become the perfect daughter-in-laws of Oswal household by managing various difficult situations, solving various problems and defeating evil people coming to destroy their family.

== Plot ==
Simar dreams of becoming a singer but her conservative parents are against her dream, considering singing as an improper and obscene occupation. Instead, they are planning to get their daughter married to wealthy businessman Aarav Oswal.
On the other hand, Geetanjali Devi Oswal, the dominant matriarch of Oswal house asks Badi Simar, an ideal daughter in law, to find a daughter in law for her elder grandson Aarav, who can maintain the house and keep the family united as her first priority, just the way Simar is doing and did in her younger days. The girl should not be like other girls who have their dreams, hobbies and aspirations as she should be simple and simply like Badi Simar.

Plot

The girl should not be like other girls who have their dreams, hobbies and aspirations as she should be simple and simply like Simar who too had her talent and a dream to become a classical dancer but had to drop off her dreams because she was married and had to become an ideal bahu of the Bharadwaj family as Mataji never liked daughter in laws of her family to do jobs and work outside the house.

The filming of the series began in March 2021.[4]

Casting

With the release of first promo, Dipika Kakar was confirmed reprising her role of Simar.[5] The makers also approached Shoaib Ibrahim for reprisal of Prem's role, while Jayati Bhatia was signed to reprise her role as Mataji.[6] The cast from the first season will only be shooting for a few episodes in order to introduce the new leads of the show. [7]

Avinash Mukherjee, Tanya Sharma, Radhika Muthukumar and Karan Sharma were selected for lead roles besides Kakar, Ibrahim and Bhatia.[8]

Filming

Based on the backdrop of Agra, the series is mainly filmed at the sets in Naigaon, Maharashtra while in Early-April 2021, some initial sequences were shot near the Taj Mahal in Agra, due to the lockdown in Maharastha.

Release

The first promo of the series was released on 21 March 2021 featuring Dipika Kakar. The second promo was released on 3 April 2021 featuring Jayati Bhatia and Dipika Kakar reprising roles from the former season, introducing the new Simar which is played by Radhika Muthukumar.
