Dragon Man
Hello, there is a new discussion that you may wish to participate in. Blockhouse321 (talk) 13:58, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

Revision as of 13:58, 28 June 2021

I just edited Andrey Kashechkin to include an image in the infobox, and it's of him in Astana team colors, but is a six-year old image! There are, I think, five images of "Kash" in wikimedia commons we could draw on: the one Astana shot and then four Lampre pics. The Lampre ones are much nicer and higher-resolution, but of course Kash no ride for dem nomore! Can you help me discover consensus: should we use the old Astana image, or a nicer, newer Lampre image, even though he's not on Lampre anymore?

Let me know your thoughts! Grazie! Azx2 18:58, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it will be the first Lampre image, but probably cropped. Waiting to hear from another Editor how to crop and reupload it (do I replace the original image, or add cropped image to Commons as an entirely new image? I'm really not sure how to proceed!) Thanks again for your feedback tho... Azx2 18:16, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - just wanted to let you know I created a cropped version of one of the Lampre photos of Kash and placed it in the article as main image. Thanks! Azx2 22:38, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

Have a nice day! Enjoy the kitten.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Álvaro Peña Herrero may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Disambiguation link notification for April 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Euroscepticism in the United Kingdom, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Midlands. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Catalan Culture Challenge 2016 edition

I apologize if this message is not in your language. Please help translate it.

From February 21 to March 6 we organise the 2nd edition of Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start or improve the greatest number of articles about 11 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). It would be lovely to have you on board again. :-)

We look forward to seeing you!

Rhynco or rhyncho

Hi,

On the page of your namesake Leptictidium the family is given as Pseudorhyncocyonidae. I think it should be Pseudorhynchocyonidae, but I do not know how to correct it. No idea how that automated taxobox works. see Jcwf (talk) 05:12, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. @Jcwf:. While I agree that linguistically there should be an "h" there, it appears that Filhol first described Pseudorhyncocyon without an "h" and, therefore, the genus-derived family name must be written without an "h" too.--Leptictidium (mt) 07:35, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Manuchansu (talk) 14:21, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No mientas, sabes que no te he acusado ni he insinuado que estés tú detrás. Manuchansu (talk) 12:10, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Pues el mensaje que le has dejado a TransporterMan parece una insinuación en toda regla ("It is interesting to see that the IP argues just like the other user, Leptictidium").
Si yo he hecho aclaraciones, no sé por qué mantienes esa acusación. Manuchansu (talk) 12:59, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Formal mediation has been requested

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Àngel Guimerà". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 7 August 2017.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Move war

I'm the Chaiperson at the Mediation Committee. I've rejected the request for mediation on Angel Guimera, but I warn you that if you revert a page move again I will report you to ANI or an administrator for slow-motion edit warring. I have no idea whatsoever about who is right and who is wrong here, but continuing to move and re-move is unacceptable and the provision that "If you disagree with such a move, and the new title has not been in place for a long time, you may revert the move" does not give you the right to edit war. The solution is to take the moving party to an administrator or to ANI. This is your only warning. — TransporterMan (TALK) 16:43, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
