::{{re|Kavyansh.Singh}} Please don't do this. The way FLC is run, whenever one of the delegates has the time we run through the nominations that look likely to be closable, starting with the oldest, and review/close however many we get through in the time we have available. Whether a nomination is closed in a given pass depends on many things, and is not just a simple "3 supports + a source review" check. There are many reasons why a nomination may stay open for a time after getting 3 supports, some of which have nothing to do with the quality of the list or of the reviews. We recognize that it can be annoying to have to wait, especially when a list is part of a series and the delay is holding up the next nomination in line, but it doesn't make the process faster to poke at us- we want nominations to get closed quickly too, so the pings don't have any beneficial effect.

United States presidential elections in Utah (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Nominator(s): Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 18:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating this for featured list because I feel that these types of lists on United States presidential elections have a great potential to be FL, and promotion of this list would help me in modifying 50 other similar lists. I almost completely re-formatted the list, added a lead, and key for political parties. It lists all the elections in which the state of Utah participated, with votes and percentage. I intend to make similar changes to all the lists within this series. I would respond to every comment, and try to bring this nomination to FL standards whenever needed. With one of the list (United States presidential elections in Arkansas) currently a FLC, with multiple supports, I nominate this too. Check this page for progress. Thanks! (48 states + Washington D.C. more to go)Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 18:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

;Comments
  • one of the most Republican state --> "one of the most Republican states"
  • Lead is also a little short.
  • Also maybe mention Evan McMullin in the lead. Pretty notable for an independent to win over 20% in the general.

That's all for now. Nice work. ~ HAL333 19:22, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@HAL333 – Done all, let me know if you have any other comments. Thanks! – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 05:08, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Republican Party won Utah in 17 of the last 18 elections Should it be "has won"?

;Comments
  • " Utah was easily won by the Democratic Party's candidate William Jennings Bryan, receiving" => " Utah was easily won by the Democratic Party's candidate William Jennings Bryan, who received"
  • "But in the subsequent four years, the Republican Party" => "In the subsequent four years, however, the Republican Party"
  • "until the 1952 presidential election; after which, the Republican party" => "until the 1952 presidential election, after which the Republican party"
  • "In the 1992 presidential election, Utah was one of the two states, where" => "In the 1992 presidential election, Utah was one of the two states where"
  • Independent should not have a capital I
  • "However, by the election day, his polling numbers reduced, and he received" => "By the election day, however, his polling numbers reduced and he received"
  • Note a - "For purposes of these lists, other candidates are defined as those who were in third place in Arkansas." Huh?
  • Note b is a complete sentence so needs a full stop. Also, I think it should "The American...."
  • Think that's it from me...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:43, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@ChrisTheDude – Thanks. I have addressed all in this edit. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 15:57, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to have mis-read my comment above "Independent should not have a capital I", because one of the changes you made was the exact opposite of that :-) -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 16:03, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see. I have fixed it now in the lead. (I don't think that that has to be done in the Key table too.) Thanks! – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 16:08, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

*"No. of elections" no need to abbreviate number here, there are other fields which are wider.

That's it on a quick run-through. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 18:03, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@The Rambling Man – Addressed all the concerns. Please take another look. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 07:09, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The reliability and formatting of the references look okay throughout, and the link-checker shows no issues. The source review has been passed. Giants2008 (Talk) 20:20, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
