Find sources for all positions of an article (see Citing sources and atheism references).
Try to expand stubs. Ideas and theories about life, however, are prone to generating neologisms, so some stubs may be suitable for deletion (see deletion process).
Watch the list of atheism-related articles and add to accordingly.
Always write for an encyclopedia.

Apostasy (irtidad) is mentioned in the Qur'an

Under the Etymology section, the following is mentioned: "Apostasy is called irtidād (which means relapse or regress) or ridda in Islamic literature—the terms do not appear in the Quran." The bolded text is false. Irtidad is mentioned in Qur'an 2:217 [1]. The word for "renounce" in this verse is "yartadid" يَرْتَدِدْ which is the present tense masculine verb of "irtidad". Weird sentence

This sentence, under "Characteristics", is weird:

"Not all types of apostasy are punishable by death. Only major apostasy requires execution."

What is "major apostasy", and also the article have been discussing how it's execution all the way for apostasy, but this time only major ones require execution. What does that mean? It's unclear. Xn00bit (talk) 16:12, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
