Fictional character biography

Nick came to Salem to get to know his Horton relatives, and with the solution to save Kayla, who was suffering from a rare biological ailment. He succeeded in saving Kayla, and soon found himself intrigued by Chelsea Brady, who was convinced he was just a geek. He finally created an online identity and began messaging Chelsea in an attempt to get her to fall for him, providing a picture of one of his colleagues when she pushed to know what he looked like. Nick recently slept with Chelsea's mother Billie Reed, though he and Billie both regret it and have sworn never to tell anyone. Nick helped Chelsea with a mission to get money to Shawn and Belle who were on the run with their daughter Claire in Toronto. With the clever and brave actions of Nick on this trip, Chelsea began to like him and take interest in him as more than a friend as certainly began to see him as more than a geek. However, only a few days after returning from Canada, Chelsea discovered that Nick was in fact her online love and that he'd been lying to her. She was devastated because she thought that it all had been a malicious trick and that he had been secretly laughing at her while she had been opening up to him as she had to no one else before. Nick was crushed when she tearfully told him that she never wanted to see him again because he's now in love with her.

When Nick saves Chelsea from getting raped by Dr. Reibert, she forgives him. Nick begins tutoring her in math and this leads to them dating. They are happy until Chelsea is accused of setting Bo and Hope's house on fire after finding out about Nick and Billie's one-night stand. Chelsea forgives Nick again when Nick steals the hairbrush that could incriminate Chelsea. Later after Stephanie falls out of the car and gets put in the hospital, Nick and Chelsea rekindle their romance.

After this, Nick start to help out Willow by lending her money. She starts to get obsessive over Nick helping her, so he gives her more money and leases an apartment for her, he give her his credit card to buy the basic things she need to care for her and her baby. She charges stuff she should never have charged and she calls him and black mails him into giving her money, credit cards, and all kinds of stuff. He goes to the beach to meet her and they get in a argument and a struggle witch leads to Willow being put to the ground banging her head off the wood/rock and dying. Nick tries to revive her but to no avail. He gets the hairbrush she had on her and buries it in the sand on the beach. He calls for help and is now Nick is now being investigated by detective Roman Brady. He convinces Chelsea to go to the beach, take back the hair brush he buried and to destroy it.

Later, Nick was blackmailed by Kate Robertsinto making Sami's amnio say that E.J. is the father of Sami's twins.

On July 23, 2007, Nick saved Sami Brady and Lucas Roberts from a bomb that Dr. Rolf planted.
