MY TALK PAGE

MY TALK PAGE

Hello, welcome to my talk page. You are welcome to post any comments below. Please do not vandalise this page. Anything you put here will be archived available for public view. Please be polite and follow my/wikipedia guidelines. Productive edits are always welcome.
I archive when I feel like it. Depending on my whim, your comments may or may not be archived. The odds of not being archived are inversely proportional to the amount you annoy me. Please do NOT annoy me.

You may not belong to wikipedia if...

...you can't refrain from personal attacks. Do not make personal attacks anywhere in Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Nobody likes abuse. You are obligated to folow a civil, mature, and polite tone.

...you vandalise. A 2002 study by IBM found that most Wikipedia vandalism is reverted within five minutes. [1]. Please use your energy in a productive way, refrain from what is established in Vandalism. Keep in mind that not every destructive looking action is vandalism, for example POV edits are NOT vandalism.

...you revert and dictate articles. The neutral point of view policy states that articles should be written without bias, representing all views fairly. The policy is easily misunderstood. It doesn't assume that it's possible to write an article from a single, unbiased, objective point of view. The policy says that we should fairly represent all sides of a dispute, and not make an article state, imply, or insinuate that any one side is correct. This comprises one of the great merits of Wikipedia. Never ask the opposition to leave a topic.

...you revert edits and do not give a proper reason in the articles discussion (and users talk page if applicable). You are encouraged to salvage the material you declared bad. Comment the original material out and rewrite it in a NPOV way. This will allow other users to easily compare your work. This is very usefull in contraversial articles such as creationism, while is not as necesary when editing gravity.

...you work against users. You are welcome to disagree, infact encouraged as if everyone is thinking alike, no one is thinking, refrain from a "personal crusade" and work WITH users. Stick to good Wikiquette. If you are reverting edits of a user just because of that spesific users, this may fall under the personal attacks category.

...you edit numbers, for example demographics without providing a verifiable source. As far as anyone is concerned you may be a sneaky vandalist. We should be able to go to the link you've provided (preferably in discussion page of the article) assuming it is a reputable source and not a personal page. Keep in mind that on some articles there is a very wide margin of error due to the fact that the numbers are disputed.

To post something please use this link. or the '+' between "edit this page" and "history".
To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and civilisations, to boldy go where no one before, we must first expand our knowlege.
The only thing constant in the universe is that nothing is constant...

Personal thoughts and frame of mind

I agree. JarlaxleArtemis 04:14, May 10, 2005 (UTC)
  • Three users lost my respect thats a pretty darn hard thing for people to achive. Once I loose my respect to people it cant be easily restored. 3 users on wikipedia lost my respect.
  • People who live in the past will always stay in the past, people who live in the future who don't learn from the past still live in the past. I live in the future learning from peoples' mistakes in the past as well as my own. Cool Cat My Talk
Things I learned so far.
NEVER EVER let laptop be luggage rather than carry-on, TSA people are too stupid to handle a laptop. Yes I am a terrorist, I was a suicide bomber 4 times in the past year. You can find my peices scattered on 4 different blast zones in 4 different continents. :P
  • How to edit wikipedia:
NEVER argue or discuss anything with anyone on wikipedia. They are always right you are always wrong. Keep reverting untill they give up. Bash them in anyway you can. Bash them in discussions you never attended before. Find ways to annoy them, bother them, harras them, make their edits bad. Revert war in any article you can.
Reply to an insult with an insult, they think you are an insignificant being.
Shoking? But it works! Just ask User:Stereotek and User:Davenbelle.
Q&A:
Was this a personal attack? Not really. It's what I think.
Am I actualy using this "how to" on my wikipedia edits? No, but they do.
Is this how I see my dispute regarding User:Stereotek and User:Davenbelle? Yes.
Do I care WTF you have to say? No. Just SHUT-UP and do something else. I am an enginner not a peeping Tom. I am not going to spy on people to prove my case so I wont suggest you to check their edits over mine or whatever as you probably wont anyways. I am JUST sick of it. I no longer care.
Did the users succesfully scared me away from wikipedia? YES.
Does this bother them? No.
Do I hate them? No.
Will I be listening to people anymore? No.
Will I be doing my own thing whenever I please instead of my innitial idea of dedicating time on wikipedia? Yes.
Am I EXTREMELY annoyed? If you haven't already figured the answer to this...
Who am I? Non of your business.
What nationality am I? Non of your business as well.
Do I value my anonimity? Yes.
Is there a single google hit of my full name? No.
Will such a site cease to exist on sight? Yes.
Was that an idle threat? Yes.
Is wikipedia a free encyclopedia? No. User:Stereotek and User:Davenbelle presides over me.
How will I combat them? I wont. If wikipedia can't help me, wikipedia does NOT deserve such a combat. If I am left alone, I shall stay alone.
How about a helping hand? I am already destroyed, I don't want anyone else to be destroyed with me. They are the most powerfull users on wikipedia. They get 6 revers while I get 3. Most of the time they dont read what they are reverting. They will annoy you as much as they annoyed me. They will ruin your wiki experience as well. If you want to help me stop them so they dont hurt wikipedia anymore. It is already too late for me.
Am I leaving wikipedia? No.
Will I disproove Armenian Genocide? No.
Will I write my own Armenian Genocide article based on verifiable facts? Yes.
Will I ever suggest, push, or infer it in Talk:Armenian Genocide? No.
Why the hell not? Because there exist people who can't tolerate even the mention of something that does not support their case. I dont know what the facts are at the moment. There probably is lots to be said, but no one is willing to listen. Hence its a waste of time to talk.
Did I care about Armenian Genocide article before been bashed by User:Stereotek and User:Davenbelle, no. I was aware of a dispute, I wasn't aware of any details.
Am I aware of any details at the moment? No.
Will I research? Yes.
Will I contribute less? Yes. As in Nomore. All my edits will exist in my userspace. Anything outside does not concern me.
Am I punishing wikipedia? No, I just lost my enthusiasm. It cannot be artificialy restored.

I am no longer part of wikipedia outside of my userspace. I do not care what happens outside of my userspace. Don't ask me anything regarding any of my ex edits. I dont care. I wont be responding anymore so dont bother.

That's Great

Hey thanks for telling me that, since I know nothing about history. NOT! Yes, I know that history is often written by the winners, but I also know that sometimes on Wiki, history is written by idiots. So yeah go ahead write all the crap articles that you want, if I relied purely on Wiki for historical knowledge I'd be a fool.

Dont ever post anything in my userspace again untill you mature into an adult. --Cool Cat My Talk 03:15, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Saladin Eyyubi

Hi,

I want to get a clear perspective on the man who is called Saladin Eyyubi.

I have read about this man. In some pages there stay that he is arabic, in some that he is kurdish and in som that he is turkish.

What's the true? I have read what you have written. On what bases do you ground your facts? Did you really engaged in the history of Saladin or did you put something together about what you have heard from older historians. Is there any definitive statements that can prove what origin Saladin has? Please don't misunderstand me, I don't want to disrespect you at all. It's that I am so confused about this thing for now.

I don't recall editing this mans article. I have no opinion on this issue on top of my head. If you could give the articles link I can give you a healthier response. --Cool Cat My Talk 22:09, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Call to Action

Whereas, much good discussion and work has previously occured on the Barnstar and award proposal page,

Whereas, the level of discussion and progress on the abovementioned page has dropped to a record level of none; no constructive commments have been made on existing awards since May 17, 2005,

Whereas, many "Vote or Die!" have been left open, namely two, as a result of this lack of discussion,

Whereas, nine proposals lie untouched by Wikipedian hands,

Whereas, you have previously commented and helped on the abovementioned page,

Therefore, I, who have absolutely no command in ordering this whatsoever, instruct you, とある白い猫, to return to the barnstar commitment and further the creation of Wikipedian awards; vote liberally and spread your constructive comments.
