"Gimme More"
Song

"Gimme More" is a song recorded by American pop singer Britney Spears for her as-yet-untitled fifth album. According to Access Hollywood and EW, "Gimme More" was produced by Nate "Danja" Hillz, and written by Danja, Keri Hilson, James Washington and Marcella Araica.[2] It is set to be the first single promoting the new album.

"Gimme More" leaked on the Internet on August 30, 2007. It has premiered on many radio stations, officially on Z100 in New York, followed by other premieres in other major markets such as KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, and Hot 99.5 in Washington D.C. among others.[3] The [4] audio is currently available On Demand at Z100's website.

On July 19 and August 7, 2007, Spears filmed the music video for "Gimme More" in a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles.[5] The video is rumored to be released sometime during the week of September 3, as reported by US Weekly.[6]

Critical reception

The song has received major fan reaction across the Internet community — most likely due to the fact that the song was Spears' first new music in nearly two years. The song has been praised from MTV, as well as Blender Magazine which gave the song 4/5 stars, [7].

"Gimme More" is currently at #1 on the Hot 30 Countdown Vote on Australia's 2dayfm radio station, having only been on airwaves for one day.[8] It has now had two straight days at #1, with only two days of airplay. Mediabase, which records a songs airplay, is reporting that "Gimme More" has reached #40.[9][10]

Because of strong airplay adds and rotation within a mere five days, the single is expected to make a Billboard debut within the next two charting weeks based solely on spins.

Official and unofficial remixes

There is currently no official remix, nor any news on a potential remix. However, currently there is an unofficial remix featuring clips from T.I.'s Bring 'Em Out, which is also receiving considerable amounts of airplay. [11]
