Nartopa

Nartopa (نرتوپہ) (Urdu=نرتوپہ,،Arabic=نارتوبا) is a village in the tehsil of Hazro in Attock District in Punjab province, Pakistan. Other villages surrounding Nartopa include Kotkai, Shinka, Asghar, Dhokjabashad, Darya, Ghorghushti, and Saha Dair. Nartopa is 95% Islamic and 89% Tableghee Jumaht. The languages spoken include Pushto, Hindko, Punjabi, Persian, and Urdu.

Nartopa's population is approximately 8,000 with a literacy rate of 59%.

Nartopa is situated in the middle of Chhachh,(Chhachh cover 82 villages in Punjab),in the rest of Hazro (in the west).It is the 3rd biggest village of Chhachh.The two famous entries points in Nartopa are "Tooltex Chock" and " Nartopa Ghaba."TheAgriculture and tradingof 'raw Tobacco material'are sources of income.The major spokenlanguagesarePushto,Hindko,Punjabi,UrduandEnglish.Its neighbours like Barazai, shinka,Shah-dahir,Malik Mala and Behboodi etc.

Tribes Of Nartopa

Nartopa has three tribal groups.

Nasozai

The Nasozai people (نسوزئ) are largely literate. Nasozai is the second largest and most important mohallah of Nartopa. The people of Nasozai migrated from Afghanistan (Nasozai) to Nartopa in 1723. The Tribe of Nasozai label some specific part of Nartopa the "Nasozai".

The Nasozai are further divided into two sections: Nasozai ("real name") in east Nartopa and Qibla Banda in west Nartopa. That is link to Hazro (Bangahe). The Nasozai people have properties (fields) in the most south of Nartopa. The People of Nartopa that lives in east area are mostly pathans, Yosif Zai etc their native language is Pushto. The people that live in western areas speak Pushto and Hindko, in this area mostly people are Hindko (julah).

Wardag

The vast majority of the population of Nartopa are Wardag (وردگ). The Wardag tribe is situated in the middle of Nartopa. Wardag people are the literate community of Nartopa. Wardag's people comes from Wardag (Afghanistan) and came to Nartopa. There are almost all castes in the Wardag tribe, but the major caste is Pathans. Major spoken language is Pushto and hinko.

Sayyad khail

The vast majority of the area are Sayyad Khail (سیدخیل) people .About 20% of Sayyad khail people,who are now migrating to Karachi (Pakistan) for Jobs. The people of Sayyad khail work in agriculture, trading, cattle and government jobs. Sayyad Khail is also a good and important Mohalla (neighbourhood) of Nartopa because of the "Ghazi Brotha Dam" that passes alonge the area. The people of Sayyad Khail came from Afghanistan (Syead Khail). Their habits, culture, their emotions and religion activities are related to the Nasozai tribe. Major spoken language is Pushto.
