Synopsis
Season 1
Pacific Coast Academy is a formerly all boys boarding school. Season one of Zoey 101 starts the first year that Pacific Coast Academy - or PCA for short is letting girls into the school. Jamie Lynn Spears portrays a thirteen year old girl named Zoey Brooks. She is one of the first girls to enroll at PCA. In the pilot episode of the show we meet all the main characters of the show. The episode opens with Zoey, her brother Dustin Brooks (Paul Butcher) and their father driving them to PCA. When Zoey arrives there she meets Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn). Chase develops a crush on Zoey the second he lays eyes on her - causing him to crash his bike and fall. He offers to show her to her dorm - room 101 (hence Zoey 101). Soon after she arrives at her dorm she meets her new roommate and soon to be best friend Nicole Bristrow (Alexa Nikolas). When they walk back to their room they meet their other roommate Dana Cruz (Kristin Herrera). Dana and Nicole fight constantly. Quinn Pensky (Erin Sanders), is another character on the show, a very weird but extremely smart girl. Soon afterward Zoey comes across the boys basketball team and hears the coach talking about tryouts later that week. After that she says to the boys that she wants to tryout. Then a boy named Logan (Matthew Underwood) says that girls can't play basketball as good as guys. Zoey then gets angry and challenges them to a boys v.s. girls game. We also meet Chase's best friend Micheal (Christopher Massey).
Season 2
Zoey, Dustin, Chase, Nicole, Micheal, Logan, and Quinn are back for another year at PCA. Dana was accepted to a special foreign exchanged program in Paris, France causing Zoey and Nicole to get a new roommate named Lola Martinez (Victoria Justice) – A girl who tries to convince them she is a freaky goth girl as an acting excersise. Zoey and Nicole become friends with Lola. Throughout season two Chase's crush on Zoey grows even more. There is a slight hint of Zoey having a small crush on Chase however it is not clear enough to determine if she does.
Season 3
Zoey, Dustin, Chase, Micheal, Lola, Logan, and Quinn are back for another year at PCA. Nicole was sent to an all girls school after being diagnosed with Obsesive Male Gender Disorder (OMGD). This causes Quinn to become roommates with Zoey and Lola after she was accidentally assigned a room that didnt exist on PCA campus. Chase gets a girlfriend that won’t let him be friends with Zoey, so he breaks up with her. At the end of the season, Zoey moves to England, and finds out that Chase is in love with her.
Season 4
Zoey, already hearing how Chase feels about her, decides to return to PCA. Chase, having decided he must be with Zoey, convinces his parents to transfer him to the London boarding school where Zoey is attending, only to find out that she has transferred back to PCA to be with him. However, Chase must be in Covington for at least one semester before returning to PCA. Therefore Chase and Zoey admit their love for each other, but they decide to put their relationship on hold until Chase comes back to PCA. Meanwhile, Logan and Michael get a new roommate, James Garret, who catches Zoey's eye. James and Zoey are shown kissing at the end of the episode "Rumor of Love" after they get the rumor Logan started about them dating. In the following episode, "Anger Management", we discover that Zoey and James have become a couple. In the episode "Quinn Misses the Mark", Logan and Quinn share their first kiss and we find out in the following episode "Walk-A-Thon" they have become a couple but are keeping it a secret. In the next episode 'Vince is Back' Lola and Vince become a couple. We also see that Logan and Quinn are still hiding their relationship but are finding it harder to pretend they hate each other.
