Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (abbreviated SBCG4AP) is an upcoming episodic series of point-and-click adventure games by Telltale Games based on the universe of the Homestar Runner web cartoon. The first episode, Homestar Ruiner, will be released in July 2008 through Nintendo's WiiWare service and for the PC. The game will take advantage of features on the Wii console, such as WiiConnect24.[2]

The first allusion to the game was given in a cartoon posted on YouTube by the Homestar Runner creators, called "Strong Bad Gameways".[1] The video parodies an in-flight safety demonstration, featuring safety tips for the operation of a Wii Remote.[3] A link to this video was provided by an easter egg in the Strong Bad email "shapeshifter" consisting of the hash at the end of the YouTube URL. The game was later officially announced on April 10, 2008 in a press release from Telltale Games[2] and a Strong Bad email-formatted "trailer" posted on the Homestar Runner site.[4]

Gameplay

Apart from the point and click mechanics, each episode will feature an arcade-style minigame. For example, the first episode will feature a top-down boxing game called Snake Boxer 5.[5] Other features include a customizable map,[6] hidden and collectible items[7] (such as 3X5 cards used to create Teen Girl Squad comics[6]) and, on the Wii version, the possibility to take pictures to send for friends through the Wii's message system.[7]
