Asendoh, you suck. Get lost from Wikipedia. 60.48.183.20 (talk) 06:06, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 07:31, 17 August 2008

Please explain why you chose to revert to an old and incorrect version of the results table on this page. Currently, significant improvements are being discussed on the WP:F1 talk page and Surtees is being used as an example. Pyrope 18:21, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

p.s. Good work on the season summary box. Please could you contribute to the discussion on the project page. Pyrope 18:46, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serie A deletion

You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Thanks Niall123 18:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just noticed you made some edites, but please try and wikify it as well. A good race report on the whole. Look at 1994 Brazilian Grand Prix if you don't know what I'm speaking about. Davnel03 18:45, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1976 German Grand Prix

I really like your solution to the problem with Scheckter's flag in the infobox. Well done! DH85868993 15:30, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

F1 results tables

Hi Asendoh. I was just wondering: Is there any reason you haven't included WC round numbers in the heading of the non-works Surtees, Matra and non-works March F1 results tables? I was going to add them in, but then I thought you might have deliberately left them out for some reason. Thanks. P.S. Great work on those tables, by the way! DH85868993 21:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. DH85868993 17:22, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

F1 race report infoboxes

Hi Asendoh. I noticed you recently added infoboxes to a couple of the 1987 F1 race reports. Can I request that if you plan to do any more, you use the Grand Prix race report infobox template, rather than F1 race report infobox, as per this discussion. Thanks. DH85868993 03:36, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Linking of "McLaren"

Hi Asendoh. Thanks for all the F1 results table updates you've done recently. One tiny point to note: it's not necessary to link the word "McLaren" to Team McLaren, i.e. McLaren, because Team McLaren is just a redirect to McLaren anyway, so you can just write McLaren. But apart from that, keep up the good work! DH85868993 (talk) 02:28, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flags and references

Congratulations on the work you're doing adding flags and references to the F1 race report articles. You may care to record your progress here. DH85868993 (talk) 01:50, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:F1 Newsletter Issue 1

Hey, this is the first edition of the WP F1 newsletter. If you want to keep getting it, please talk back on my talk page.

Grand Prix motorcycle racing seasons

Why are you deleting large amounts of information from the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season articles? There has been no discussion of this on the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Grand_Prix_motorcycle_racing project page. The tables you're deleting are quite useful. ♫ Bitch and Complain Sooner ♫ (talk) 22:09, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My bad. I see what you've done. Good job! Please ignore my question. Thanks. ♫ Bitch and Complain Sooner ♫ (talk) 23:52, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. referring to several Grand Prix motorcycle racing seasons pages. As you continue to create racing-related articles, please make sure to use the link Kawasaki instead of Kawasaki. Kawasaki has several other uses, so it would save a lot of time if you could link directly to the motor company. Thanks! Fox (talk) 18:04, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries

Hi there, would you mind filling in the edit summary box when you make an edit. That lets all of us know what you are trying to do to without having to try and figure it out. Especially when you delete large blocks of info as you did here it can look like vandalism at first sight. SpinningSpark 10:38, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blood pressure

I thought before you have a heart attack, i'd better request that the 2008 GP racing article gets some protection! Hopefully the admins will agree, these reversions are tedious and annoying when there's a discussion available for comment! Ged UK (talk) 19:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ANI discussion

I have took the matter about the 2008 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season page to ANI. Please comment there. Regards, D.M.N. (talk) 08:22, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Formal warning for WP:CIVIL violation

For these edit summaries: [1], [2]. Please refrain from this behavior; there are plenty of dispute resolution options at your disposal here at Wikipedia. Tan | 39 15:10, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I like the way the world goes. I work my ass on an article for months, an IP editor comes (don't ban them and force everyone to make an account so you can control them better, nooooooooooo, they must stay here AND cause all sort of troubles, they have freedom to ruin other people's work!) and disrupt your work, without even bothering to discuss on the talk page. And as a big thank you for trying to stop him (ok I was rude but hell, how many times did he undid our changes? Things like this make me angry...), WOW! A WARNING! Yahoo I'll now be at risk while the IP fool can continue doing whatever he wants! I'm really really happy right now! Asendoh (talk) 15:26, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, there were plenty of options for you - reporting him to WP:AIV, WP:ANI, WP:DR. Also, because someone else took the time to report this to the correct place, I protected the page from IP protection for a brief period. Your indignation is completely unfounded when you don't take the time to do/report things properly. Tan | 39 15:38, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't even know these things existed! Isn't there a manual somewhere, this is all so complicated here! Asendoh (talk) 15:40, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
WP:5 is a good place to start. Just calm down a bit with the edit summaries and the sarcasm - I'm an admin here and pretty used to abuse, but you need to be civil to your fellow editors, okay? Feel free to ask me questions directly if you want, or if you're having more frustration. I'm not just here to chastise you - I'm here to help, really ;-) Tan | 39 15:43, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could you possibly then have a look at the root cause? Namely the (still) outstanding page protection request, and the new Admin incident report thing. Thanks :) Ged UK (talk) 15:47, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I already addressed the request at WP:RFPP. Tan | 39 15:48, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ta muchly, somehow i managed to unwatch that paged, so missed it :) Ged UK (talk) 15:50, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

NP :) Ged UK (talk) 19:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, you've really ticked someone off! Ged UK (talk) 06:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's the same Malaysian guy... anyway you're faster than me in reverting vandalism :P Thanks again. I'm trying to understand what to do because his IPs are changing and it's not easy for the admins to block him. Asendoh (talk) 07:27, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't really know. You could ask an admin. I guess if it becomes too much you could ask for your userpage to be semi-protected, which would stop IP vandalism. Ged UK (talk) 08:02, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've got the guy temporarily blocked, but if he's moving IP addresses it won't have much affect. If he continues to vandalise the relevant pages, I'll request they get IP protected. Like I said above, if they keep vandalising your page, you can request that your userpage gets protected. Ged UK (talk) 12:12, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See Page_protection, it's pretty self explanitory. Ged UK (talk) 11:01, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page protection

The protection of your user page recently expired and regrettably some unregistered users are taking this as a opportunity to vandalize. Following a request at WP:RFPP by another user I have renewed the semi-protected your user page until the 1 August, noting that you have not being active on Wikipedia in the last few days. If you want the page unprotected, or expiry changed, please let me know on my talk page. Camaron | Chris (talk) 13:34, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know, I have Whois checked all the offending IPs and templated the user talk pages appropriately. The results are that all the IPs used are registred to Telekom Malaysia Berhad, which means that this person is assessing the internet through them and keeps changing IPs through connecting/disconnecting to the internet. As a last resort, a abuse report could be sent to Telekom Malaysia. Camaron | Chris (talk) 10:04, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The users edits today reached a new low, the use of racism and libel as well as the determination of this user is of particular concern. The IP addresses of this user have a dedicated abuse report e-mail address and I have decided I might as well prepare an abuse report to send off if necessary to see what the ISP has to say. Camaron | Chris (talk) 20:30, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That would be really appreciated! :) Asendoh (talk) 23:13, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And the setting up of the Asendoh2 account (which was swiftly blocked). Ged UK (talk) 20:34, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I will mention that in the report, blatantly malicious. Camaron | Chris (talk) 21:44, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have prepared a reasonable abuse report, I will hold it back for now and see if the disruption continues later on. Camaron | Chris (talk) 19:15, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
