Looking at your contributions to my talk page, like this one, I hope you didn't mean to be so rude. Matilda's contributions were welcome - I don't agree with her, but there's the chance of working out our differences. Trolling from other users is not helpful. I thought I'd cleanly removed D's contribution by hitting the "Undo" button, but I hadn't noticed that he'd had several bites of the cherry. Why didn't you just tidy away all of the unwanted edits? --Pete (talk) 12:11, 15 August 2008 (UTC) |

*Please don't start with your hyperbole on my page Skyring. Look carefully at my comment there is absolutely nothing rude in its wording or its reasoning. As I stated I do not have the right to adjust your talk page (nor does anyone) and I have told you so directly. I am not sure what your reference in relation to Matilda is and what it has to do with me but I have cautioned you not to be uncivil in relation to Docku and given you ample detail as to why you were uncivil on that occasion in the very diff that you provide. This is both my right and my duty. I note that you have been cautioned on this many times - and quite recently. Now, so as to be abundantly clear you are to stop with your baiting on my and other pages; with your inappropriate name calling; with your churlish incivility; and your poor choice of content and timing for using edit summaries. I will block you for disruption if you do so again because you have been given ample warning and with your history of block after block you should by now know better. Go about your business but stay within the rules that exist for all on our encyclopedia.--<strong>VS</strong> talk |

::*I took your comment referred to above as quite rude. Maybe you didn't intend it, but that's the way it came across. Sure, I made a mistake in assuming that I'd deleted all of Docku's interruption by pressing the "Undo" button, but you made a mistake in assuming that it was deliberate. It wasn't. Travelling
Yep, seen a fair bit of it over the past week. A lot of it looked like this, almost breathtaking in its starkness, and and only a few 100km from one of Australia's greatest foodbowls. Thanks for the comments. Cheers, Mattinbgn\talk 04:04, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- • • • I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.--VS talk 07:29, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Love the MIA but sad to see how dry it is out there. Remember as a kid the large area of flowering Canola around Wagga Wagga, being part of the rice harvest near Leeton but you don't get to see that since the drought started back in 2002 but ATM it's the worst I've seen it. I was hoping to be part of the rice harvest this year for some photos here (Wiki) but it's not going to happen for the Winter crop and the Summer crop isn't looking likely. Bidgee (talk) 08:51, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes agreed Bidgee - water level drastically down in your namesake is depressing (city folk should walk along the levy and compare the high flood markers with the fact that you are now able to walk across some parts of the river without getting your jocks wet). The positive news is (as I am sure you know) we are getting some good rain in the immediate Wagga Wagga area - and from my memory over the past 2 - 3 years this is the wettest underfoot we have had it for a while. Just keep on sending it down Hughie is all we can pray for.--VS talk 08:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

- Absolutely, although I fear nothing short of floods can fix the sitaution as it stands. Still, August rain has been promising; we can only hope for good follow-up. The fields around here are normally bright yellow this time of year. -- Mattinbgn\talk 14:36, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Approximately 6 months ago, I stepped (in one step) across the longest river in Australia. Twenty years before my footsteps, even less maybe, riverbaots called this place home. It's sad to see... -- Longhair\talk 15:02, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

WP:CHICAGO leadership
This month you have indicated new or continuing interest in WP:CHICAGO as either an active or semi-active member. The response to the project membership survey was strong enough that we should attempt to organize it in a more fully functional way. Please sign up at Wikipedia:CHICAGO/leadership if you would be willing to serve as a leader of the project from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009. The various leadership responsibilities are listed there. The roles will be somewhat similar to the roles of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators. We are a less mature and developed project than WP:MILHIST however, so our division of roles will be slightly different. Please respond by the 23rd.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:48, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Need an image looked at.
Can you check the deleted image for any changes (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image:SYDAp2.JPG&action=edit) as the one on Commons (Commons:Image:SYDAp2.JPG) has the Space Shuttle at Sydney Airport (Something an IP and myself doubt ever happened). Bidgee (talk) 08:40, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes definitely a fake. I will upload a copy of the old image over the faked image. You may want to pursue the uploader via admins at commons also - especially to check if they have uploaded other pixel adjusted images.--VS talk 11:06, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okay I think the old image has now successfully uploaded at commons. Will leave note at Sydney Airport talk also.--VS talk 11:20, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Skyring personal attack
As a neutral administrator, I am bringing what i consider a personal attack to your attention. Please see here. Thanks. DockuHi 12:32, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Fair commentary rather than personal attack. Docku has continually attempted to misrepresent the situation. I invite you to read through the whole section. --Pete (talk) 12:59, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Here, he has changed my talk. I had rephrased my proposal based on a suggestion made by him and he changed it back.DockuHi 13:07, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Rewording a proposal to which several other editors had already responded is deceptive, and not supported by WP:Talk without a string of caveats, none of which Docku has observed. I certainly did not suggest this. Docku is welcome to make a fresh proposal, clearly labelled as such. --Pete (talk) 13:15, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- I have made it a little obvious for others to see that the proposal is changed. IF VS thinks i should start a new section, i will do. But i will wait for his response. DockuHi 13:26, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- I restored old proposal and striked it through as proposed by skyring. DockuHi 13:35, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- I certainly didn't propose any such thing. The original text should have been left as it was. In the intervening two days several editors responded. A reworded proposal at the bottom of the section would have been acceptable. --Pete (talk) 13:58, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
