- Love the MIA but sad to see how dry it is out there. Remember as a kid the large area of flowering Canola around Wagga Wagga, being part of the rice harvest near Leeton but you don't get to see that since the drought started back in 2002 but ATM it's the worst I've seen it. I was hoping to be part of the rice harvest this year for some photos here (Wiki) but it's not going to happen for the Winter crop and the Summer crop isn't looking likely.   - Yes agreed Bidgee - water level drastically down in your namesake is depressing (city folk should walk along the levy and compare the high flood markers with the fact that you are now able to walk across some parts of the river without getting your jocks wet). The positive news is (as I am sure you know) we are getting some good rain in the immediate Wagga Wagga area - and from my memory over the past 2 - 3 years this is the wettest underfoot we have had it for a while. Looking at your contributions to my talk page, like this one, I hope you didn't mean to be so rude. Matilda's contributions were welcome - I don't agree with her, but there's the chance of working out our differences. Trolling from other users is not helpful. I thought I'd cleanly removed D's contribution by hitting the "Undo" button, but I hadn't noticed that he'd had several bites of the cherry. Please don't start with your hyperbole on my page Skyring. Look carefully at my comment there is absolutely nothing rude in its wording or its reasoning. As I stated I do not have the right to adjust your talk page (nor does anyone) and I have told you so directly. I am not sure what your reference in relation to Matilda is and what it has to do with me but I have cautioned you not to be uncivil in relation to Docku and given you ample detail as to why you were uncivil on that occasion in the very diff that you provide. This is both my right and my duty. I note that you have been cautioned on this many times - and quite recently. Now, so as to be abundantly clear you are to stop with your baiting on my and other pages; with your inappropriate name calling; with your churlish incivility; and your poor choice of content and timing for using edit summaries. I will block you for disruption if you do so again because you have been given ample warning and with your history of block after block you should by now know better. Go about your business but stay within the rules that exist for all on our encyclopedia.--VS ^talk

I took your comment referred to above as quite rude. Maybe you didn't intend it, but that's the way it came across. Sure, I made a mistake in assuming that I'd deleted all of Docku's interruption by pressing the "Undo" button, but you made a mistake in assuming that it was deliberate. It wasn't. You said I "blamed others for your error" and it was "such an obvious error and manipulation on your part".[1] Not true. As you'd apparently misunderstood what had happened, I explained, but you dismissed my explanation as "hyperbole".
If you want to warn me for incivility and/or making personal attacks, then you should refrain from doing so yourself. Calling me "churlish"[2] is hardly likely to make me, or anyone else, take your advice seriously. As you yourself say, "stay within the rules that exist for all".
Sure, I've been blocked before, but not for incivility or disruption. Mostly I get unblocked when I ask for a review and point out the facts.
Finally, while I can be prickly and quick to take offence, I suggest you take a look at your own behaviour. If you think that I am "baiting" you, then take your finger off the admin tools, count to ten, then ask for an uninvolved admin to look into the matter, in the sure knowledge that if unfairly blocked I'll assemble diffs and request a review.

WP:CHICAGO leadership

This month you have indicated new or continuing interest in WP:CHICAGO as either an active or semi-active member. The response to the project membership survey was strong enough that we should attempt to organize it in a more fully functional way. Please sign up at Wikipedia:CHICAGO/leadership if you would be willing to serve as a leader of the project from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009. The various leadership responsibilities are listed there. The roles will be somewhat similar to the roles of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators. We are a less mature and developed project than WP:MILHIST however, so our division of roles will be slightly different. Need an image looked at.

Can you check the deleted image for any changes (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image:SYDAp2.JPG&action=edit) as the one on Commons (Commons:Image:SYDAp2.JPG) has the Space Shuttle at Sydney Airport (Something an IP and myself doubt ever happened). Yes definitely a fake. I will upload a copy of the old image over the faked image. You may want to pursue the uploader via admins at commons also - especially to check if they have uploaded other pixel adjusted images.--VS ^talk 11:06, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rewording a proposal to which several other editors had already responded is deceptive, and not supported by WP:Talk without a string of caveats, none of which Docku has observed.
