Wikipedia:WikiProject Chicago/Leadership
The project has had a successful membership signup period. The interest in the project leads me to believe that the project could succeed as a fully functional and fully active project. I think the best thing to do is to seek volunteers for leadership and then select leaders from among those volunteers. Please add your name below if you would be interested in overseeing a function of the project. Off the top of my head, the current list of functions that we could use leaders for includes the following:
- Chicago Collaboration, which we could now focus on Top-importance Chicago articles
- Getting a newsletter going
- Oversee an A-Class review
- Oversee a Peer review
- Oversee other reviews and discussions
- Oversee the assessment department (including the selection of Top-importance articles)
- Oversee Portal:Chicago
- Oversee organization (maintaining categories and consider setting up task forces)
- Oversee project bots (if you know how to write bots)

Emir34 I wanna to help WP:CHICAGO. Because it's awesome. To be honest, I like leadership, too. - I'm up for anything, but I've probably had the most experience with Portals. I'm currently building and readying up Portal:Japan for Featured status, so maintained a featured portal like Portal:Chicago should be no problem. --TorsodogTalk 15:07, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Of the people who have shown an interest in helping to organize the project no one has noted an interest in being the Director/Lead coordinator. I will continue in that role since I have been doing it since December 2006. I will be contacting each of the leaders about the things I think they need to do to help us get going. Below is the first set of project leaders.
