13 is the thirteenth smallest natural number, the 14th smallest whole number, and the sixth smallest prime number.

13 goes into 999,999 76,923 times, so fractions with 13 in the denominator have six digit repeating sequences in their decimal expansions.

13 is a number feared by many people of many cultures. This fear is referred to as triskaidekaphobia.
