Mim Bidya Sinha Saha (Bengali:মিম বিদ্যা সিন্‌হা সাহা, born 10 November 1991) is an Bangladeshi film actress and model. She made a queenly debut in the arena of showbiz. She, after going through days of hard work and different levels of talent analysis, became the chosen Superstar of the Lux-Channel I Superstar competition 2007. In her very next step, she became the heroine of prolific Humayun Ahmeds movie Amar Ache Jol. Amazingly, she earned a Meril-Prothom Alo award for her debut performance in the big screen. In the meantime Mim became more mature by performing in some of the TV dramas.

Early life and background

Her father Birendra Nath Saha is the head of the Social Welfare department in Comilla Victoria College and mother is housewife. Mim passed her S.S.C from science group from Comilla board securing ‘GPA 5’. Then she has completed her H.S.C in Humanities group with the excellent result of ‘A’ from Comilla Victoria University College. Recently she has admitted herself in the Dramatics department of Jahangirnagar University. Now she dream a dream to complete her PhD degree in Dramatics and become a teacher.

Career

Her family has permanently settled down in Dhaka only for the sake of their daughter’s career. Her father has to manage to be with his caring family in Dhaka only two to three days a week. And the aged mother has been passing days in bittersweet anxiety for her man.

Mim came to appear on the silver screen with her brilliant performance in Amar Ache Jol. Then, after a thoughtful pause, she acted as heroine in one of the mainstream movies. The film Amar Praner Priya was released 2009. In this movie Dhallywood hero of the moment Shakib Khan was her hero. But after that she has kept herself away from doing further film. Rumor goes that Amar Ache Jol was a complete failure in terms of business. But Mim has a different version to say: Amar Praner Priya was a super hit film of 2009. So much so, that the producer of the film had offered me for his next film. But they spread the rumor that the film didn’t make a good turnover. This sheer lie was spread as a part of naked film-politics to ruin my position I was creating in the main stream film industry. Even I was threatened due to my refusal of a few big producers. Yet I would say, If I am given a good and unconventional story, I would jump into the scenario without a second thought.’

In the meantime, Mim kept herself busy working in some regular dramas and modeling. She has performed in about twenty dramas. These dramas, due to their spirit, are enough to give her an individual identity of her own as an actress. So her sincere concentration now is on drama which would make her one of the most popular actresses of small screen.
