Lalian (Punjabi: ﻻلیاں) is a city situated at the Faisalabad-to-Sargodha road in the Chiniot District of Punjab province in Pakistan. It is named after Mian Muhammad Siddiq Lali, a Muslim saint.

It is located at 31°49'21N 72°47'50E with an altitude of 171 metres (564 feet).[1] According to the census of 1998, Lalian holds total population of 90,000. The total number of households was 4436.

Lalian was made towm committee along with Garh Maharaja in 1928. Now its the newly crated tehsil of newly crated district Chiniot. It, surely will add to the critical imporatnce and business of this rapily growing town. Lalian is the only transit market for more than 100 villages. so it assumes a great economic importance. At present,population of Lalian is not less than 2 lacs. It is connected brand band networking, digital telephone exchange and other facilites of communication. Police station of Lalian was esatblished in 1867 in British rule. High school was established in 1918. Rural Health center was established before cration of Pakistan. It also has a technical training center under TEVTA which is lacking enrollment due to out fashioned and useless variety of courses provided. It needs to be upgraded with new career oriented courses and training to ensure the enrollment. There is a vaternary hospital that is insufficient to meet the ever growing needs in the field of live stock.

Lalian is facing great problems in health and education sector. Rural Health centre is unable to provide quality health facilities to people. It has no emergency, ambulance is out of order.No gynaecologist available in the centre. It is badly needed to upgrade this hospital into THQ hospital to heal the people of the locality. Health sector is also in need of great improvement. Science classed must be started at Inter and graduation level so that quality education may be provided to ensure the bright future of area and the country.
