Copy-editors go through the drafts.
- Late Sunday – early Monday: trouble-shooting. Fresh stories added to INN and NAN by the "Next issue deadline" (only if sufficiently topical and important).

Vocalist, best you pull your weight a bit earlier if you want to march in and edit-war over the first-author spot. As far as I can see, Ohconfucius has put more into this page, this week, than you have (apart from your edit-warring). Tony (talk) 07:18, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Unless you're looking to be blocked, stop it. It's not a matter of who created or started writing a report first, and this is not the first time you've been edit-warring on this (and other) Signpost articles. Wholesale reversion of content is further problematic when it is not just a matter of what name appears first as author. What we need is quality content that is actually useful to our readers. Be it your editing of this page, or your editing of that report in particular, this is really becoming a tedious exercise where you keep using Signpost to produce substandard reports (but more troubling than that is when you use Signpost as a battleground at the same time). I had to clean up your mess for the 20 Dec edition, and I'm having to do it again. Given the lack of improvement, I'm really not sure if you've paid attention to the notes I wrote at the time (yet again, I've found inaccuracies in this report meaning I've had to revamp (and still am rewriting) much of it from scratch). Regular responsibilities
Signpost journalists can claim responsibility for regular features, and continue writing their beat for as long as they wish. If you would like to be a regular writer for The Signpost, add your name to the appropriate task. If you'd be willing to cover a story that is usually covered by another editor, or are willing to cover it sporadically when the normal writer can't, add your name to the Backup list so you can be contacted when the need arises – the more the merrier. If a beat is not assigned to anyone and no draft for the next issue is listed above, anyone should feel free to write it that week.
