Welcome to Lhb1239's Wikipedia talk page.

Here is a great list of things to know and remember about this online encyclopedia -- it came in handy to me when first starting to edit Wikipedia and I still refer to it when necessary.

I have certain principles governing this talk page which I expect you to adhere to if you post here. (This talk page is my "territory", (although I acknowledge it's not really mine, it's the community's) and I assume janitorial responsibility for it.

  • If leaving a new message, please see "...click here to leave me a message" notice above.
  • If posting a reply to a comment, please place your new comments underneath the comment you are replying to.
  • Please indent your posts with ":" if replying to an existing topic (or "::" if replying to a reply).
  • Please sign and date your entry by inserting "~~~~" at the end.
  • I will generally respond to comments on this Talk page that are posted here, rather than replying via your Talk page; you may want to watch this page until you are responded to.
  • I prefer a clean talk page and will delete old messages after a reasonable period of time. The history tab will show you a complete list of all past comments if you are interested.
  • Comments such as these are appreciated and welcome: constructive criticism in the spirit of being helpful and editing collegially; corrections as appropriate and necessary in the spirit of being helpful and editing collegially.
  • Comments such as these are not appreciated and are unwelcome: a barrage or onslaught of negatively-tinged comments that include, but are not limited to, demands for answers; unconstructive criticism in the spirit of being negative for negative's sake; templates placed in the spirit of retaliation or 'just because'; harassment; personal attacks.
  • If you want a reply to comments left here, please allow time for that to happen. In the case of possible contention or disagreement, I may need time to "cool down" and collect my thoughts (or just reply helpfully and wisely) before responding to talk page comments/questions. Please keep this in mind, and remember to act like the kind of adults we are all expected to emulate here at The Project.
  • I reserve the right to delete talk page comments or questions without answering them if I sense baiting, unneeded confrontation, hostility, inappropriate aggression, and/or misdirected anger - don't expect a response to these types of comments.
  • I realize I don't "own" this talk page, however, I reserve the right to tell you to not leave comments here if you have demonstrated a consistent lack of good faith toward me and/or continually leave nothing but negative and/or harassing comments on this talk page.
  • I may, without notice, refactor comments to put like with like, correct indents, or retitle sections to reflect their contents more clearly. If I inadvertently change the meaning of anything, please let me know so I can fix it.
  • Blatant vandalism will not be tolerated and will be removed on the spot.

Apology

I'm sorry for causing the trouble to bring you to the Discussion page on World War III in popular culture. Well at least I learned my lesson about future predictions. Thanks for revealing the WP:CRYSTAL rule.--Bumblezellio (talk) 00:32, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No apology necessary. We're all learning something new about Wikipedia over time - even the editors who tell you they are more experienced that you are can still learn something new about Wikipedia. No one has all the answers all the time. Lhb1239 (talk) 00:37, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

United/Continental @ GCM

It was discussed here (Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Airports#CO.2FUA_SOC_2011-11-30) and everyone voted that CO would be changed to UA since they are now flying under 1 SOC as of November 30, 2011. Snoozlepet (talk) 00:04, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks for clarifying. Lhb1239 (talk) 00:07, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to RFCs

Remember that RFCs are part of Dispute Resolution and at times may take place in a heated environment. Please take a look at the relevant RFC page before responding and be sure that you are willing and able to enter that environment and contribute to making the discussion a calm and productive one focussed on the content issue at hand. See also Wikipedia:Requests for comment#Suggestions for responding.

Greetings! You have been randomly selected to receive an invitation to participate in the request for comment on Talk:Crunkcore. Should you wish to respond to the invitation, your contribution to this discussion will be very much appreciated! However, please note that your input will carry no greater weight than anyone else's: remember that an RFC aims to reach a reasoned consensus position, and is not a vote. In support of that, your contribution should focus on thoughtful evaluation of the issues and available evidence, and provide further relevant evidence if possible.

You have received this notice because your name is on Wikipedia:Feedback request service. If you do not wish to receive these types of notices, please remove your name from that page. RFC bot (talk) 06:15, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Natalie Wood

I think it would be a good idea for you to either leave the article Natalie Wood for awhile, or to stop engaging in any interaction with User MathewTownsend for awhile. Nothing good comes from spamming his talkpage with confrontational statements and the administrative fora with unactionable requests and complaints. I think you should let it go now.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 15:04, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since MathewTownsend has stated on the Natalie Wood talk page that he is not going to be editing the article anymore, I don't see how there should be any more need for me to interact with him. It's a big Wiki, and I'm sure he can occupy himself just fine at other articles. Lhb1239 (talk) 16:15, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think you should also take a step back and consider the ways in which your own behavior may have inflamed rather than calmed the debate. It does not seem reasonable to post upwards of thirty messages to another user's talkpage in relation to one dispute, nor to report the same dispute to multiple discussion boards in such a short time. To someone coming from outside it does seem excessive and bordering on hounding. I would not like to see you acting like that towards other users in the future.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 16:27, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
