Joey Carbone - Music Producer & Composer Award winning music composer and producer Joey Carbone is the product of three of the world's most vibrant and diverse cities, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Joey was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was signed at 16 years old as a singer in a band to Atlantic Records by one of Atlantic's founders, Jerry Wexler. Joey was also offered a summer job working at Atlantic Records. During that job, he would hang out in the studios and watch recording sessions by such stars as Aretha Franklin, The Rascals, Cream, The Stones. Joey moved to LA and became a sought after keyboardist for recording sessions and concerts. He played keyboards for Kiki Dee & Elton John, Rick James, The Righteous Brothers, Eric Carmen, Rod Stewart, Cher, Air Supply, Andy Gibb, Bette Midler and others. Joey was the music director and theme composer for nine years for the hit television series, "Star Search", and arranged, produced, conducted and played piano for future superstars Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Alanis Morisette, Leanne Rimes, Justin Timberlake and others. Joey won a coveted cable ace award for composing and producing the theme song for the hit tv series "It's Garry Shandling's Show" (Joey was also music director). He also composed and arranged music for "China Beach", "Falcon Crest", "Entertainment Tonight", and many others. He has also produced and/or composed albums for Japan based record companies for many American singers such as Little Richard, Alyssa Milano, Joseph Williams and Bobby Kimball ("Toto"), Bill Champlin and Jason Scheff ("Chicago"), John O'Banion, Edward Furlong, Irene Cara, Mylin, Neil Sedaka, Tiffany, Warren DeMartini (Ratt), The Righteous Brothers, Sam Moore ( of Sam & Dave),and others.

HE HAS CREATED MORE THAN 1000 SONGS FOR THE JAPANESE MARKET INCLUDING MANY HITS FOR KAT-TUN, Matsuura Aya, Smap, Wada Akiko, Crystal Kay, Akanishi Jin, Sexy Zone, Kanjani8, Tsuchiya Anna, Max, Tackey & Tsubasa, N.E.W.S., Hey! Say! JUMP,Van Tomiko, Nakamori Akina, Nakayama Miho, Wink, Shonentai, Shibugakitai, Arashi, Aikawa Nanase, Hamada Mar, Lindberg, Inagaki Junichi, Koyanagi Yuki, Naomi Tamura, Infix, Mazda Julia, Eriko Tamura, Masatoshi Ono ETC. HE HAS MORE THAN 80 # 1 OR TOP 10 HITS IN JAPAN. HE HAS ALSO COMPOSED HUNDREDS OF SONGS FOR JAPANESE TV CM, MOVIES AND TV PROGRAMS INCLUDING THE HIT MOVIE "Satomi Hakken Den".

EXCEPT FOR THE SONGS COMPOSED BY "The Beatles", JOEY'S SONGS HAVE BEEN RECORDED BY MORE JAPANESE ARTISTS THAN ANY OTHER FOREIGN COMPOSER'S SONGS.

Joey composes alone and also co-composes with and promotes the songs of many of his super talented friends.

He is a contracted advisor to both Sony Records and Avex entertainment, Japan. He is a vice-principal and International Advisor at Jikei Gakuen (College). He has given many lectures at Colleges and Universities in the United States, Japan, and Taiwan

He resides in Los Angeles where he enjoys taking care of his dog, his squirrels, playing baseball, playing piano at his church, and doing magic tricks for his friends. Joey also spends almost half the year living in Tokyo.
