It is tentatively slated for a release on June 11, 2013 by Columbia Records in association with Nickelodeon. Recording for the album began in 2012 and ended in early 2013, a portion of which took place during the Big Time Summer Tour. The album is preceded by the promotional single "Like Nobody's Around", which saw its premiere on VEVO during the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards.^{[citation needed]}

Motivated from songwriting that took place on the previous album, Elevate, the group became heavily involved in the songwriting process for the album. Kendall Schmidt confirmed that the group had recorded 40–50 new songs for the album, the majority of which were written by Big Time Rush. 24/Seven is the most pre-ordered album in Mexico iTunes history as well. Launching at #1 in its first day available in the country, it has also reached the top 5 position in the United States, the top 20 in Germany, top 30 in Canada, and top 10 in Poland (only through pre-ordering on iTunes).^{[citation needed]}

Summer Break Tour

A tour in support of the album was announced on March 29, 2013 along with Victoria Justice as opening act, with the title "Summer Break". Shortly afterwards, a list of full dates and venues for the tour was made available on the official Big Time Rush website.^{[clarification needed]} The tour is set to begin on June 21, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.^{[citation needed]}

Track listing

Beginning on April 26, 2013, Big Time Rush began releasing photos for various songs on the album via Instagram and Google Plus. The band revealed the track list for the album on April 29, 2013 in the magazine Entertainment Weekly.^[1]^[2] It was also revealed that the "24/Seven" would be released with a standard edition and a deluxe edition with bonus tracks. The standard has a blue background, and the deluxe has a red background.^{[citation needed]}
