Hadid (Template:Lang-he-n) is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Modi'in, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 548.
The village was established in 1950 by the Hapoel HaMizrachi movement, on the land of the Palestinian village al-Haditha.[citation needed] It was named after the Biblical town Hadid within the tribe of Binyamin, believed to have been located about 2km west at Tel Hadid, where al-Haditha stood until 1948.[1] (Ezra 2,33; Nehemiah 11,34).
