Love You to Death is the seventh studio album by Canadian rock duo Tegan and Sara, set to be released on June 3, 2016 on Neil Young's label Vapor Records through Warner Bros. Records The album is a followup album to the band's 2013 release Heartthrob.
Background
It was revealed in November of 2015 by Stereogum that Tegan and Sara had completed recording of the then untitled album[1]. The band then announced the name of the album on their official Facebook on March 10, 2016,[2] with the official album art released the next day on their official Instagram account[3]. The duo have been promoting the release of the new album using the hashtag #LY2D on social media.
Release
The album became up for preorder on iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play, and in retail stores and other music distribution platforms on April 8th, 2016, with release set for June 3, 2016. There has not been a deluxe edition announce as of yet.
Singles
Since the album has become available for preorder, one official single has been released from the album, titled Boyfriend. The single first became available to listen to via Beats 1 on April 7, 2016[4], and was available to download the next day.
Other songs
One other song, U-turn, was made available for download on April 8, 2016 for listeners who preordered the album.
