A Dot Com Mom (Marathi: "अ डॉट कॉम मॉम") is a 2016 Marathi language Family Drama film. It is directed by Dr. Meena-Nerurkar, who also stars in the film with Vikram Gokhale, Vijay Chavan, Apurva Bhalerao, and Sai Gundewar. The movie was released in India in September 2016.

The movie is the first Marathi movie to be filmed in the US.

Synopsis

A struggling, middle-class mother from a small town works hard to raise her highly intelligent son, who eventually moves to the United States and becomes rich and successful. He invites his parents and wife to visit him, but only his mother manages to come. Her son is excited and wants to show his mother the whole country, but his mother cannot cope with the modernity of the United States. The daughter-in-law cannot bear her mother-in-law's presence in her house, so the mother decides to go back to India early. Months later, the son wants his mother to return to the United States. The mother is reluctant, but the father insists that she should return since the daughter-in-law needs help during labor. This time, the mother-in-law arrives prepared, using the two-month visit to grow as a person. ^[1] ^[2]
