Widhwidh, also known as Widh Widh, is a town in the Togdheer region of Somalia.
Overview
Part of the Ayn province's Buuhoodle District, the settlement is located 50 kilometres (31 mi) by road from Buuhoodle.[1][2]
The town was part of the 2010 Ayn clashes on 19 July 2010.[3]
In 2011 a peace conference was held in the town between the local community and the Somaliland administration.[4]
Education
Widhwidh has a number of academic institutions. According to the Puntland Ministry of Education, there are seven primary schools in the Widhwidh District, including Geed-Dheer, Banyaal, Shululux and Widhwidh Primary.[5]
