Ajey Nagar is an Indian comedian, gamer, rapper and YouTube personality from Faridabad, India. He is known for his YouTube channels CarryMinati and CarryIsLive, and is counted among the most popular YouTubers in India.[1][2]

Early life

Nagar was born in Faridabad,[3] a city near India's national capital New Delhi,[2] where he is based.[1] He attended school till 2016, when he dropped out to pursue his YouTube career.[1]

As of 2019, he is 19 years old.[2]

Career

Nagar started posting videos on YouTube since he was 10 years old.[2] CarryMinati is his original YouTube channel, which has been active since 2014.[1] In early 2017, Nagar started another YouTube channel called CarryIsLive, where he live-streams himself playing video games.[1]

Popularly referred to as 'CarryMinati', Nagar is known for his energetic hindi-language commentry.[1][2]

Music

Nagar released a diss track in January 2019 against the YouTuber PewDiePie in context of the PewDiePie vs T-Series competition, which became very popular.[2]

Awards and recognition

In 2019, Nagar was listed at the tenth position in the Next Generation Leaders' 2019 by the Time magazine, which is an annual list of ten young people who construct innovative careers.[4][3]
