If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

  {{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}

  This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests

• Ninth Legislative Yuan (currently a redirect to 9th Legislative Yuan) → 9th Legislative Yuan (move · discuss) – Ninth needs to be changed to 9th, the common name for a legislative term. Neo-Jay (talk) 14:56, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
• Sculpture in the Environment (currently a redirect to SITE) → SITE (move · discuss) – The full phrase of this acronym is virtually unknown and not even mentioned on the company's website. PS: I already renamed the wiki page "Site" to "Site (disambiguation)" Gerbis (talk) 10:18, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
• Sigma-algebra (currently a redirect to Σ-algebra) → Σ-algebra (restricted by the titleblacklist, which page movers can override) (move · discuss) – This is to have the article title be consistent with the usage of the term throughout the body of the article. In addition to not being able to move over a redirect with history, I'm also getting a note about the title being blacklisted, and I'm not sure why that would be. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 19:37, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
• Political radicalism (currently a redirect to Radical politics) → Radical politics (move · discuss) – The article topic is the broad contemporary political use of the term "radical", whereas "radicalism" usually refers narrowly to Radicalism (historical) which is also still political.
