New York City Gangland is is a collection of archival photographs that is part of the Images of America series from Arcadia Publishing. It has a release date of August 2, 2010.
Called a "crooks-eye-view of Gotham's underworld" [1] it contains approximately 200 black and white images of "indiginous crime figures" [2] spanning 50 years.
Content includes previously uncirculated images from the library of its author [3] as well as high ranking law enforcement sources and the photo albums of noted organized crime figures like Joe "The Boss" Masseria, Al "Scarface" Capone, Charles "Lucky" Luciano, "Crazy" Joe Gallo, and John Gotti.
