In her Majesdanian form, Karolina is able to manipulate solar energy absorbed by her body to generate large concussive blasts, fine laser-like beams and force fields capable of stopping cave-ins, gunfire, and explosions. Like her parents, Karolina learned the ability to bind people. Karolina's Majesdanian form also grants her the ability to fly. Karolina's blood also harbors solar energy-based properties. The drawback to Karolina's powers are that they have a finite charge. If she is in her Majesdanian form too long or exerts her powers too much, her glow will start to fade and revert her to human form until she uses the sun's rays to recharge. Leslie Dean stated early in the series that Majesdanians' abilities do not affect one another.

My name is majesdane and I live in South Portland, Maine, United States. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering after graduating from WPI in May of 2010, where I played four years of varsity field hockey. I currently work for a company in Maine that specializes in non-destructive testing and evaluation.

I am a bit of an Anglophile and am particularly interested in the British teen drama Skins as well as the American counterpart. I am also an avid reader and my favorite authors include: Gregory Maguire (Wicked), Stephen King (Carrie), Ali Smith (Girl Meets Boy), and other authors such as Lloyd Alexander, Tamora Pierce, and J.K. Rowling. In addition to this, I also am a huge fan of horror movies, especially the Saw films (with a specific interest in the character Amanda Young and the actress who portrays her, Shawnee Smith).

Username

left|180px|thumb|Karolina in Majesdanian form. The username majesdane comes from the Marvel comic book Runaways. The character Karolina Dean is an alien whose parents come from the planet Majesdane. All Majesdanians have the ability to revert to a normal, humanoid form, but their natural form is luminous, iridescent, and visually fluid, often depicted with waves of rainbow-like light floating off their bodies. Karolina was meant to have an arranged marriage to Xavin, a Skrull, in order to bring an end to the on-going war between Tarnax VII (one of the Skrull worlds) and Majesdane. Both planets were inevitably destroyed when the Skrulls from Tarnax VII launched anti-matter missiles at Majesdane. Thus, Karolina is one of the last remaining aliens of her kind.

The planet of Majesdane is hidden beneath a un-named white dwarf star. The planet, as seen from space, is awash with the same hues that makeup the true physical form of a Majesdanian. All Majesdanians have the natural ability to revert to "human" form (though originally, Karolina required a custom made medic alert bracelet constructed of an unspecified alien metal to revert to humanoid form) and it appears all Majesdanians spend most of their time in this human form, perhaps out of a need to conserve energy. Majesdane was depicted as a planet similar to Earth, though with greater advances in technology.
