There won't be any shooting in Gujarat as such given the backlash Rahul Dholakia's earlier movie [[Parzania]] which was based on 2002 Gujarat riots. Raees (English: Wealthy) is an upcoming Indian crime film directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment.[1] The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.[2] Mahira Khan plays the lead female role. This will mark the debut of the Pakistani actress in Bollywood.[3] Set in 1980s Gujarat, the film tells the story of a bootlegger whose business is thwarted by a tough policeman.
