Did you know... that Walerian Łukasiński, a 19th century Polish Army officer, was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment by the Russian Empire, and died in prison after 44 years, becoming one of the martyrs of the Polish struggle for independence under the partitions?

About the formula "Congress Poland, a puppet state of the Russian Empire"

1) This remark (by somebody who thinks himself as very smaaaaart, I suppose) about a "puppet state" is irrelevant.

2) The official name of this state was "Kingdom of Poland"

3) It has had a true history, not a "puppet history". The story of a small state dominated (more and more) by a strong one. A history of resistance...
