Week3 / Assignment 3/yf2196
Yifannn (talk) 06:41, 27 October 2021 (UTC) YiFan Feng
The last article was about "brunch" because it said that the English brunch was around eleven o'clock. I think there is no standard time for brunch. Because I should add a time period for brunch in this Wikipedia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Brunch&action=edit§ion=3
This time I upgraded according to the type I selected last time, and the Wikipedia article I chose for editing is this article about "time" content. It's because the previous Knowledge Encyclopedia article was about the time period of brunch, and the current article is the concept of time. What time is the morning defined by people? When is it early in the morning? But there seems to be no answer or standard information on this topic, and I am just participating and guessing. I didn't know about the evaluation of Wikipedia articles before in my impression, nor did I participate in the discussion. This extra points project has allowed me to learn a lot of things I haven't discovered before, and I hope I can learn more later.

Week 4/ Assignment 4/ yf2196
I added folklore to the origin of the Double Ninth Festival. It is a mythological and very ancient Chinese legend.
2. This is the link to the citation difference I added. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Double_Ninth_Festival&diff=1052619740&oldid=1050268118
3. From this assignment, I found that adding citations or materials can enhance persuasiveness and let us understand a certain event or story more comprehensively. And it’s important to keep the information comprehensive, because people are interested in related articles and will see more references and read more.
- Yifannn Please assign yourself this article in the Wiki Edu Dashboard and then ping me here. I will then take a look at it and reply. Please also remember to sign each of your posts using four tilde characters ~~~~ at the end. --- FULBERT (talk) 19:39, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

Week 5/ Assignment 5/ Cecilia haha
1.This time I edited the Chinese section of Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Food Industry. I added a paragraph after the original text about the percentage change of consumers' shopping methods during the epidemic to illustrate the impact on the food industry.
2. The difference link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Impact_of_the_COVID-19_pandemic_on_the_food_industry&type=revision&diff=1053954455&oldid=1050171508
3.Editing topics related to my research paper can help me deepen my understanding of relevant aspects and help others supplement what I know. I think this is a win-win way, but the article must be authoritative.--Cecilia haha (talk) 03:41, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Cecilia haha, Nice edit. Current for Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 12:43, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week 5/ Assignment 5/ Gdaymate011
Greetings
1. I hope you are all doing well, the article I picked for my assignment is about the Qing Dynasty. The citation I have added is about the Taiping Rebellion, which is an important historical event in the Qing Dynasty. this citation provided a detailed background to this period of history.
2. This is the difference link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Qing_dynasty&type=revision&diff=1053961096&oldid=1053707252
3. Through this assignment process, I learned how to make an article more detailed by adding citations. A good citation is very important to the credibility of an article.Gdaymate011 (talk) 05:15, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Gdaymate011, This is ok for now, though please use a higher-level source, such as ones you would use for our course, for future edits. Current with Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 12:47, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week5/ Assignment 5/ Beccabubu
1. I've been using my new MacBook Air M1 for almost a month. The price and performance of Apple Silicon are excellent, so I'm really curious about the ARM architecture, specifically the new Apple M1 chip. So this week, I kept exploring the fun of editing Wikipedia as an editor and chose the article "Apple M1". I added a paragraph of the development path of Apple M1, and the original source comes from Apple's official web.
2. Link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Apple_M1&diff=1053966646&oldid=1053741141
3. The whole process of editing and adding content to Wikipedia enriches my knowledge, and knowledge sharing is made easy by Wikipedia, and this noble deed motivates people to contribute. --Beccabubu (talk) 06:41, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Beccabubu, Nice edit overall, though as another editor pointed out you made a claim without a citation. However, other editors did add that and improve upon it, and that is how the editing process works! Current with Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 12:50, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week 5/ Assignment 5/ TFMonk19970531
1. I have always been a huge Pokémon fan and I have been waiting for the next generation game for a long time. So I decided to browse about some update information about this new Pokémon game: Pokémon Legends: Arceus. On the Wiki page I found that it does not include some exciting features about this game, which is that some Pokémon have brand new appearance that we've never seen before. So I added some information about that and hope to share with others.
2. Link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_Legends%3A_Arceus&type=revision&diff=1053993649&oldid=1053546055
3. The process of editing and publish my changes invisibly awakened my sense of responsibility and I feel like I have the duty to make sure others can see latest and authentic information. The process is really interesting. --TFMonk19970531 (talk) 11:53, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Nice edit, though please make sure you use a credible enough source. This is especially the case when companies provide information about themselves. Current for Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 12:53, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week 5/ Assignment 5/ Notkc01
This is Kyle. Hope everyone is doing good. Here is my week 5 assignment.
1. I have explored some electric vehicle topics on the Wikipedia website and I ended up with one article that described the history of the Chinese subway and the overall development of the electric vehicle situation in China. I did a precious change about the specific timeframe of the origin of the Chinese subway in Beijing and added one citation on it.
2. Link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Electric_vehicle_industry_in_China&diff=1054010425&oldid=1051225050
3. The editing certainly helped me learn more about the history itself and I hope people searching from Wikipedia can all get the useful and correct information. Notkc01 (talk) 14:26, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Notkc01, Please assign yourself this article in the Wiki Edu Dashboard and then ping me here. I will then take a look at it and reply. FULBERT (talk) 12:54, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week5/Assignment5/Jw6740
1. I found an article related to women study named "Feminist movement". The article has little information under the section of the businesses and the information author provided is not current. Therefore, I added two sentences and a reference to give more description about the feminist business in the current marketplace.
2. The link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Feminist_movement&diff=prev&oldid=1054020920
3. What I learned from this exercise is that the articles on the wiki should be reviewed by more users, in that, the articles can be more accurate and can prevent users from getting incorrect information about specific areas through searching on Wikipedia. Jw6740 (talk) 16:05, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Jw6740, Nice edit and citation added. Current for Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 12:56, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Week 4/ Assignment 4/Huilin826
The article I found related to the Chinese New Year because I am so happy to know more detailed information about the Chinese New Year, It is a traditional festival in China. People will use different approaches to celebrate it, such as Chun Lian, and Ya Sui Qian. This is a link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year This is a diff link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chinese_New_Year&type=revision&diff=1054032470&oldid=1054031649#movedpara_3_1_rhsHuilin826 (talk) 17:25, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Huilin826, I saw your edit was removed as another editor commented it was already present. OK for now, though please use a higher-level source for your edits in the future, similar to those we use for our course. Week 4 is current. FULBERT (talk) 12:59, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

Week 5/ Assignment 5/ Nenenie
1. I added some details and descriptions from the film because the way of telling in the novel and the film is different. At the same time, the understanding and analysis of films in the literature are increased.
3. Through this exercise, I found that adding some literature makes the wiki richer and more convincing, as well as fuller entries. I've found that the same story can be told differently in novels or movies. --Nenenie (talk) 23:46, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

update from week 2
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Brunch&action=edit§ion=3
I think that brunch should not have a fixed time limit. It almost depends on people's mood to decide the time for brunch. Week 5/ Fifth Post / bl2240
Hi all 1. I was interested in the China- Africa relation article and find that there was little information on the military base of Djibouti mentioned in the article. Then I added some information about this town. 2. Link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Africa%E2%80%93China_relations&type=revision&diff=1054303283&oldid=1053943419 3. I learned that even the author is the expert on her field of study, she also need people to help her go through the article, because as human we can never do everything perfectly and Wikipedias is wonderful in letting all people to edit.--Bl2240 (talk) 07:23, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Bl2240 Nice edit. Current with Week 5. ---FULBERT (talk) 14:49, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
