How do we edit the FiedlNames in infoboxes?
Help me
I am trying to develop pages for the Northern Sotho wikipeda (nso). I have not been able to translate the field names in the infobox from English to Northern Sotho (nso).
In the Afrikaans case Cyril_Ramaphosa (Afrikaans) the template for the infobox shows “Amsbekleër” and “Termynaanvang” instead of “Incumbent” and “Assumed Office” for the Afrikaans version of the English page Cyril_Ramaphos page. I would like to do something similar for the nso page for Cyril Ramaphosa Cyril Ramaphosa but use the nso and not Afrikaans words.
I looked at Designing_infoboxes which is where I saw the difference between a variable name ( FieldNameA1 ) and a variable value (FieldParameterer). However I was not able to find where the FieldNames are defined in the infoboxes. It would seem the multiple levels of transclusion (if I have used the word correctly) hide where these FieldNames are actually defined.

So this is the question: Where does wikipedia define the FieldNames for the "Infobox officeholder" template?

My apologies for having put some versions of this question in the tearoom using screen shots from slides in LibreOffice Impress. The difficulty is in formulating the question in words when there is confusion between key, variable, variable name, FieldName, and Field Parameter (Designing_infoboxes ) I thought that a copy of a "table" / "infobox" / "sidebar" on the wikipedia page would simplify the question. ( Templates in translated wiki pages )

Another apology is due to what must be faulty referencing in this question to the English, Afrikaans and Northern Sotho versions of the Cyril Ramaphosa article. I am not sure of how to use the square brackets, the curly brackets and the underscore correctly. Any help will be appreciated.

How do we edit the FiedlNames in infoboxes?

I am trying to develop pages for the Northern Sotho wikipeda (nso). I have not been able to translate the field names in the infobox from English to Northern Sotho (nso). In the Afrikaans case [(Afrikaans)] the template for the infobox shows “Amsbekleër” and “Termynaanvang” instead of “Incumbent” and “Assumed Office” for the Afrikaans version of the English page 1 page. I would like to do something similar for the nso page for Cyril Ramaphosa [Ramaphosa] but use the nso and not Afrikaans words.

The difficulty is in formulating the question in words when there is confusion between key, variable, variable name, FieldName, and Field Parameter (2 ) I thought that a copy of a "table" / "infobox" / "sidebar" on the wikipedia page would simplify the question. ( [Templates in translated wiki pages] )

Another apology is due to what must be faulty referencing in this question to the English, Afrikaans and Northern Sotho versions of the Cyril Ramaphosa article. I am not sure of how to use the square brackets, the curly brackets and the underscore correctly. Any help will be appreciated. Phillip (talk) 14:48, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've replied to your comment on my talk page, at User talk:Why Not A Duck#Your editing of the velocity article. In brief, I have no disagreement with just saying "position" and not "displacement." -- Why Not A Duck 19:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:48, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

Please help me with... There is a "Script error: The function "infoboxTemplate" does not exist." on this page. https://st.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyril_Ramaphosa How should I go about correcting it? Phillip (talk) 11:15, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It would appear that Infobox officeholder does not exist on st-Wiki. You will likely have to create it in order to use it there. Keep in mind that if infobox or any other templates it depends on do not exist over there, you might have to copy over those as well. If you want more help, change the help me-helped back into a help me, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 12:07, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Primefac for the help. What is strange is that https://st.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_officeholder suggest that it does exist but there is a problem with "Script error: The function "infoboxTemplate" does not exist. Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Namespace detect/config' not found."
