==Feuds==
On top of the mentioned feuds in the article, there was a feud he had with Creed lead singer Scott Stapp on I think two different occasions. There is a video on MTV.com's news archive from like 1999 or 2000 where Fred Durst got on stage during a concert, I think it said krocks dysfunctional family picnic or something like that and said "This song goes out to the lead singer of Creed. The guy's an egomaniac. He's a f***ing punk! F*** that motherf***er and f*** you too!" and later said, according to the news piece, something like he'll hand out pillows for when Creed comes out. I know it's on the site, but I don't feel like searching through the archives to find it at the moment. The other incident I think had something to do with Taproot. Do you think it should be added or is what is there enough? [[User:Vgamer101|Vgamer101]] 18:27, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Ambiguous phrasing and non-notable content

The latter half of this article (dealing with Durst's apparent alienation from his fans and the music industry as a whole) contains some ambiguous wording. Note:

Durst's performance with Christina Aguilera at the MTV Video Music Awards certainly didn't help his credibility, and almost ruined hers.

Did this really almost ruin Aguilera's career? As I recall, she released a Spanish-language album, a Christmas album, and her multi-platimum album Stripped (including several singles that received heavy radio play) during the couple years following her performance with Durst?

Eminem has ridiculed Durst on a number of his songs.

Eminem has ridiculed many of his musical peers. His feud with Durst isn't terribly notable, considering Eminem's lyrical attacks on N'Sync, Moby, Everlast, Brintey Spears, Christina Aguilera, Insane Clown Posse, etc. (etc etc etc)

He also had a falling out with Trent Reznor. Zakk Wylde has an intense hatred for him.

Whether true or not, what is the basis for these statements?

On the Celebrity Deathmatch show, Durst in stop motion form challenged James Hetfield of Metallica. Hetfield was victorious although critically damaged.

Similar to the aforementioned Eminem feud, dozens, if not hundreds, of entertainers have been parodied on Celebrity Deathmatch. And at least half of them died brutal and bloody deaths. Again, Durst (or Hetfield, for that matter) is not notable in this regard. And Hetfield was "critically damaged"? So what?

Furthermore, the majority of this article's content seems to refer more to the "gossipy" elements of Durst's popularity (his feuds, the list of women he's rumored to have dated, even his not-terribly-unusual body piercing). Durst is primarily known as the lead singer of a rock band, right? This article should reflect more on his music career. For example, he's apparently a producer and industry executive in addition to fronting a band. Maybe someone could add some info about his production style and studio work?

I'd attempt to make the necessary changes, but I have very limited knowledge about Fred Durst. And besides, I like Trent Reznor. :)

The truth is that Fred Durst is not too different from other nu metal lead singers - quite good at doing its work, but easily forgettable by most people.

The Removal of Controversy/Gossip Information

I hate to correct buck, but I must (being regarded as the "expert" on the man, sadly)... From 2001 until the present time, Durst has been known MOSTLY for the gossip, controversy and feuds surrounding him and NOT for his "music".

whoa, looking up some of his stuff it seems he is quite the "ladies man"?! which is where all the gossip came about i pressume. Mathmo Talk

It greatly disappoints me that you people take it upon yourselves to delete anything that may make him seem like the immature, childish has-been that he truly is and how most of the world does see him. The feuds are notable information and the information on "gossip" (most of which was true, as I had edited a lot of it at one point) should have been left as-is.

I'd go in and change it back, but I have a feeling that you jackasses would probably just go in and delete it again, as you're afraid to have ANYONE be all emo over their precious Fred Durst looking as stupid as he already makes himself out to be.

Jessica Michalik

"... death of Australian teenager Jessica Michalik who was - some say deservedly - crushed to death..." Wow, that's harsh. The "Some say" part indicates it not worthy of Wkikipedia. I'm going to remove this. Please peplace it and note the source here if she did deserve her fate. Cafe Nervosa | talk 00:14, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jonathan Davis tatoo

I've removed the following section because it doesn't add any information about Durst:

Durst got his big break soon after, in an interesting way. While on tour, KoЯn frontman Jonathan Davis wanted to get a tattoo. His tattoo artist was Durst. Because of this, Durst got Davis to get his band a gig. Since then, Davis has regretted his decision.

I'd say it does add something, showing that Limp Dick erm sorry Biscuit got a gig only because Jonathan Davis didn't want his tattoo ruined.

--Diberri | Talk 22:22, Jun 21, 2004 (UTC)

It wasn't Jon that got the tattoo, it was ex-korn member Head.

-It mentions this during the episode of koRn TV with Limp Bizkit on it, Head shows the tat. Tiburon 18:33, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

This phrase (The son of a wigger) doesn't seem verifiable. Could someone cite a source if they want to put this back in the article? [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 00:32, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Vandalization

Someone needs to temporarily protect this page against vandalizm since it's being attacked, probably because of the recent leak of Durst porn clips. Pacian 21:35, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

It's been vandalised recently by exactly one person. Hardly an emergency, and no reason to protect it. -- John Fader 22:05, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

POV

This article has some serious issues with POV and quality. It is very poorly written. I did my best to fix as much of it as possible but I do not know anything about Fred Durst. QzarBaron 21:27, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I hope I didn't butcher the article too much, and if so I apologize. I did my best so it could conform with Wikipedia's POV policies. Metaleer 15:20, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

After reading the article, I could find no problems with neutrality after your edits. Good work. I'm removing the check tag per policy. Thanks, Shinmawa 07:34, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fred did not CREATE Faith

Removed Faith from the list of songs that Fred created; as George Michael would love to point out, that song was released when Durst was still running round with a fred durst haircut. 9:05, 23 April 2006.

Fred Durst's Penis length

I think that information should be taken out of the article. Sure, his dick length is verifiable through the leaked video clip but is it really necessary to mention it in the article?

This info should definitely not appear in the article, but frankly, if you've seen the video, the length isn't as much an issue as the width. Pencil dick, anyone?--Darkprincealain 02:10, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A blight upon heavy metal?

Excuse me, but if Fred Durst appear to be an insult to heavy metal, what the hell is Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda?

Copy editing

This article is poorly written and needs a lot of TLC and organization. I've already made some changes; I'm going to work with it some more to improve its POV and spelling/grammar.

Not to be critical of the fifteen-year-old kids out there, but it reads like it was written by a teenager with categories such as "fickle fans." Stick Fig 00:49, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't believe that I spent that long cleaning up an article about Fred Durst, but I did. Please don't break it. If anyone can recommend improvements, let me know. Stick Fig 02:31, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article rating

I've been watching this article for the last two months, and my feeling is that it tells the facts that the average person wants, though I think the article needs more sourcing. Because of this, I've given it a B-grade rating. - Stick Fig 15:52, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should we block IPs/new users from editing?

It seems like we have problems with users vandalizing/changing information on this page daily. I think it would be helpful from an editing perspective to make sure everyone posting here is registered and not trying to add their own versions of Wikiality to the page. Does anyone agree with me? - Stick Fig 18:36, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would definitely be a good idea. --Yayza 19:48, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Consider it done. The most recent vandal also went out of his way to attack my user page. I'm glad to see I've been making friends around here. - Stick Fig 23:38, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On "controversial"

My feeling is, if a person does controversial things that alienate him towards many, even if I don't personally think they're controversial myself, that makes the person controversial. I don't see that as point of view because it notes a part of his public persona. I'll rework the wording a little bit (perhaps a "target of controversy" might be more apt), but putting nothing in their and ignoring this part of their persona seems to be doing the article as much of a disservice as some overly harsh POV would. Anyone else have thoughts? - Stick Fig 22:55, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On Interscope

When and why exactly did he get fired from being senior VP of Interscope?
