Am Tag als der Regen kam

"Am Tag als der Regen kam" was first big hit for Dalida in Germany. It topped German hit parade for 2 months during summer 1959. The single sold more than 300 000 copies, earning her a gold disc.^[1] Dalida was also awarded with bronze Löwe von Radio Luxemburg [de].

On July 15, 1959, the German music magazine Musikmarkt was published with Dalida on the cover. The magazine judged Dalida's hit as "a won battle for the cultivated, sophisticated hit".^[2] Later the same year, the magazine also ranked her #2 on their annual bestseller list.^[3]

The song was featured in a 1959 West German crime film The Day the Rains Came.
