Hi Bumm, would you please consider using Wikimedia Commons for all your future uploads you have created yourself? That way all your images can be used in all other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation, instead of what I see currently happening, them being copied all over the place. I'd highly appreciate you considering it and hopefully following my advice. Cheers! Siebrand 10:56, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

:Another tip I can give you: look into using :commons:Commons:Tools/Commonist, which is a Java based tool to do mass uploads. It looks like you can use such a tool :-) Siebrand 10:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Regarding your undoing of deletion of Daniel Brandt
Hi there. I accidentally undid you restoration of the article on Daniel Brandt, since the only edit visible was by an IP I figured the IP had recreated it. If you must undo my deletion, please don't just restore one revision, that violates the GFDL. You'd have to restore them all. Thanks. --Deskana <small>(request backup)</small> 15:50, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi!

Why did you ban me from #wikipedia?—Nat Krause(Talk!) 19:06, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, cool. No real problem.—Nat Krause(Talk!) 16:06, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:Givex

Having been contacted as part of my cabal work on behalf of User:Givex about their banning, I was wondering if you could explain your actions a little further. From what is available as evidence, I can see that the user, who readily accept the fact that they are an employee of the company, have done very little.

I realise that the concept of a company getting an employee to write an article might be politically unacceptable to some, but we must keep an open mind and assume good faith.

The company wrote an email asking for my assisstance and I quote:

We definitely do not want to be banned. We respect NPOV but as we just started the project, we may not have a very clear idea on how we can make a submission that meets NPOV requirements. If you could give me more info or even proof read before we post it on the site, that would be very helpful.

If there is something that I have missed, or some wrongdoing happened that I am unaware of, please inform me. Hopefully we can sort this out and quickly.

Thanks for the link. I also pointed them to the link to policy on coporate notability. I was unaware about this rules. --BarryC (talk) 07:51, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speech synthesis up for FAR

Hi there,

You're listed in the edit history of this article. I wonder whether you're able to help bring it up to FA standard again? Please see WP:FAR#Speech_synthesis.

Hullo?

Where'd ya go? Hope you're ok! --CableModem 08:37, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:La Palma in Orange County CA map.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Thank you. —Nv8200p talk 13:51, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Condolences

I just got your message on IRC (don't know how to work that fancy system) and wanted to offer my condolences for your loss. I guess you'll read this whenever you get back. Take care! -- mattb @ 2006-12-04T21:10Z

IRC

Why do you have to be such as the way you are on IRC? Just because you're a chanop doesn't give you the right to push other people around and be a jerk. And I don't appreciate your banning me for no reason, either. ~ Flameviper Who's a Peach? 18:59, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Thanks for your quick response, instead of just ignoring me like a weasel</sarcasm>. ~ Flameviper Who's a Peach? 16:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You say that I am unworthy because I fool around on IRC, but later in your paragraph you say that what happens on IRC stays on IRC. Make up your mind. ~ Flameviper Who's a Peach? 16:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images listed for deletion

Some of your images or media files have been listed for deletion. Please see Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion if you are interested in preserving them.

Thank you. BigrTex 17:43, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:MSMap-doton-Ethel.png

Thanks for uploading Image:MSMap-doton-Ethel.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:12, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Beezo red.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Beezo red.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Wikimedia Commons for uploads

Hi Bumm, would you please consider using Wikimedia Commons for all your future uploads you have created yourself? I'd highly appreciate you considering it and hopefully following my advice. Cheers! Siebrand 10:56, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another tip I can give you: look into using commons:Commons:Tools/Commonist, which is a Java based tool to do mass uploads. It looks like you can use such a tool :-) Siebrand 10:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
