Extension and historical development of the article

I am trying to expand this article, first in Spanish and then translating it into English. It is about researching and finding the historical data for an institution that is almost 5 centuries old. It is intended to put 1580 as the origin, when most of the sources (those provided by the user who wants to put that date) affirm that in 1580 the Spanish Crown, in its territories (New Spain), introduced a postal system.

This article is not about the history of postal mail in what is now Mexico, but about the current public company that provides these services (Correos de México), which was officially created by law in 1986 as "Servicio Postal Mexicano" (Mexican Postal Service) and later renamed as "Correos de Mexico".

I have to say that there is already a specific article that talks about the postal history of Mexico, where the entire process is detailed up to today (Postage stamps and postal history of Mexico), not just the Spanish colonical era, but also in the pre-Hispanic civilizations. 216.147.106.108 (talk) 08:53, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
