Article's name

Ajam is an Arabic word used to refer to Iranians. Ajam in English language translates to "Iranian". Should we change it to Iranians in Bahrain, or "Iranian Bahrainis" or "Iranians of Bahrain". Let me know what you think about these names.--Ddd0dd (talk) 04:32, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Persians and Iranians are different entities. Persians are an ethnic group, Iranians are a national identity. Most Persians who live in Bahrain are Bahrainis. In my view, it's misleading for the article's name to be "Iranians in Bahrain". I'm in favour of changing it to "Persians in Bahrain" Droodkin (talk) 20:04, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I also recommend it gets changed to "Persians of Bahrain" because that's the ethnic group they belong to, and the current article name is "Ajam of Bahrain" and Ajam in Arabic means mute or someone who doesn't speak Arabic, it's not exactly a good word even though many Persians in Bahrain have got accustomed to defining themselves by it because it was used against them for so long.

Iranians in Bahrain wouldn't work because Iran is a nation.

Ajam of Bahrain wouldn't work for the reason I already explained.

Iranians in Bahrain → Persians in Bahrain – The page's title should be changed to "Persians in Bahrain". The reasons for this is because the current title (Iranians in Bahrain) is inaccurate. Persians are an ethnic group while Iranians are nationals of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A large majority of Persians living in Bahrain are not Iranian nationals, therefore it is my view that the article's title should be appropriately changed to "Persians in Bahrain". relisted --Mike Cline (talk) 10:49, 13 May 2012 (UTC) Droodkin (talk) 20:11, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
