John Hillcoat

Thanks for creating the page for John Hillcoat. You probably noticed that I renamed the page earlier today and made a couple of other changes around the place. Well, I've renamed it again! The correct title for bios should be "Name (profession)", so the title is now:

John Hillcoat (footballer)

I'm going to remove the 2 redirects that have been created along the way (John hillcoat football and John Hillcoat (football)) soon, so you should make sure your watchlist points to the right place.

Surrey Stingers

While I'm sure you'd appreciate it if people tried to improve the page on Surrey Stingers but no amount of work to improve the page (And be honest, it needs a lot of work) would make it worth keeping, the topic is simply not noteable. The Beatles are noteable and the holocaust is noteable, (Remember, popularity is not noteability), the Surrey Stingers are note noteable. I highly doubt a fourty year old Japanese businessman sitting at his desk in Tokyo is going to want to look up the Surrey Scorpions... how would he have heard about them? Look up the official rules on noteability and you'll see Surrey Scorpions does not apply. I would appreciate it if you considered what was best for wikipedia rather than just keeping some information here for posterity. I'd suggest you copy the information and put it on a different website.Simondrake 19:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm interested in your case and looking into it. If you want to give me some more background details, or just want a friendly chat, you can get in touch on my talk page or by email. Regards. SilkTork 21:51, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've given my opinion on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Surrey Stingers and left a message on User:Simondrake's talk page. It doesn't look like Surrey Stingers will be deleted. But I'll keep an eye on it. Is there anything else you'd like me to be doing? SilkTork 17:41, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
