Optional to read
Quora has been adding more and more to make it so logged out users can barely even access the site. Recently they have now made it so that you can only see ONE question before being forced to sign in. PER MONTH. This may be false but it was the case for me, i might need verification. Should we just say it's Required To Read now? (This is the first time i've done something like this so sorry if i messed it up) XavierGaming53 (talk) 18:59, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- It's not clear what changes you're proposing to the page: could you give more detail ? ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 17:23, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
- I think the change suggested above to make would be:
- Infobox Registration field to read "Mixture of free and paid access to answers via subscription, registration for interaction". There is probably a more concise way to say this.
- The source for this is that questions such as this now show top answers as being paid only.
- The answers at the top of the page imply a subscription is required. I did note that the top upvoted answers do not in this case, however it takes quite a scroll.
- I am unsure of the precedents here. A page such as LinkedIn shows Infobox Registration as "Required". This site often allows non-registration read access, to a point. Interaction requires a registration.
- At this time I cannot find a similar site (inc. other Q&A websites) where this situation could be compared. Toastpaint (talk) 09:04, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
