Were there any problems in paying dividends after WW 1 in countries that had been 'defeated'? Countries that had 'won' would, I am thinking, be in a better financial situation. If your country was on the verge of defeat in such a war would there be any benefit in buying a War Bond? It's a topic I think needs to be covered. War Bonds linked to military success...?

Were there any problems in paying dividends after WW 1 in countries that had been 'defeated'? Countries that had 'won' would, I am thinking, be in a better financial situation. If your country was on the verge of defeat in such a war would there be any benefit in buying a War Bond?
