I'm aware that citing TikTok as a source isn't considered reliable; however I didn't see any obvious good sources for the information aside from a video by the user. Since this is part of the TikTok Project I felt citing it made sense. The Newsweek article cited that states the cats are female doesn't mention the fact that both are cats that she was told were female who she found out had been male after their "spay" appointments (which obviously ended up being neuter appointments), but decided to continue referring to as females.
