Lily Sandover Kngwarreye (1937-2001) of the Alyawarre people in the Central Desert region of Australia was an artist and a member of the Utopia artists' cooperative, Urapuntja Artists since around 1988.[1] She worked in painting, printmaking and batiks and her works are in public collections around Australia.
Prints by Sandover Kngwarreye are in the collection of the Art Gallery of Western Australia,[2] the Art Gallery of South Australia,[3] the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
Personal Life
She was the adopted sister of Australian artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye.[1]
