Season chronology

Supervivientes 2024: Perdidos en Honduras is the nineteenth season of the show Supervivientes and the twenty-third season of Survivor to air in Spain It will premiere March 7[1] and it's expected to air until June 2024.

Changes

After last season's finale, it was announced that it will be Bulldog TV's the last season producing the show, a job they have been doing since taking on the show in 2017. The reason of the change being the disagreements between the broadcaster and the owner of the rights, French company Banijay Group, that has forced Mediaset to award the productions rights from 2024 onwards to another production company. It was announced that Cuarzo, a fillial of the French group, would take on the job on the following seasons in orther to preserve the product.[2]

Following last years squeme, Jorge Javier Vázquez returned as the main host from the studios, while Laura Madrueño would continue hosting from location in Honduras and Carlos Sobera would continue to host the side shows.[3] This season, Sandra Barneda rejoins the debates, a role that she already performed for the last time in the 2018 season, taking on Ion Aramendi, that will be focused taking the reins of the newst season of Factor X[4]

Cast

The contestants for this season are being announced through different programs on the network.[5] All original 17 announced contestants where spotted in the Madrid Barajas Airport leaving for Honduras at March 3rd.[6] On the first live show, a twist was announced where two new "returning contestants" are expected to join the game at a later day. Returning contestants Kiko Jiménez and Laura Matamoros joined the game in the first Debate.[7]. Due to Zayra being evacuated, a new contestant was announced that would enter the game in her place. It's expected to be announced the 24th of March, during the Debate. Due to the loopsided results in all reward challenges, a tribe swap was announced by production during the third gala.
