- Can someone please create SVG files for the other two finalists from the 2006 competition organised to establish a Flag for Derbyshire, namely "Design 2" and "Design 3". Thanks. - @QuickQuokka: Thank you, and sorry for the delay in responding. Well, all three designs originate from BBC Derby. According to the original website, the designer of the original concept was Leon Summers, with BBC Derby modifying his submission to create what was known as "Design 3". Which is also exactly what BBC Derby did with Martin Enright's submission, modifying it to create "Design 1" (which was of course chosen as Derbyshire's flag). Hence, I'd recommend giving the new file the same CR tag as "Design 1". Hope this helps. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:29, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Snow Lion Fenian: The description page of the file says it's released to the public domain by the author, and supposedly also the author (I don't really believe the uploader is the author), but there's no source to verify that unfortunately. QuickQuokka [talk • contribs] 16:25, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- @QuickQuokka: Good point, and profuse apologies for the excessively long delay in getting back to you. Well, I certainly don't pretend to be an expert on CR licenses on Wikipedia. The impression I've gotten is that the uploader wanted to waive their rights to the file, but went about it the wrong way, resulting in using a license that creates a slight bit of confusion. After considering it all, I'd now recommend giving the new file the "Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported", in order to cover the same bases while making it clear that the uploader is not the original designer. Hope this helps. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 18:43, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Snow Lion Fenian: Now looking at it after having uploaded it, I see I accidentally used the wrong flower design. Should I fix this? QuickQuokka [talk • contribs] 10:04, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- @QuickQuokka: Oh yes, if you think you can correct the flower, then don't let me stop you. But no pressure if you can't. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 14:34, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

- Request
Hi everyone! I'd like to give a request to see if anyone can please make a vectorized version of the flag of the fictional country of "Grand Fenwick" from the book and movie "The Mouse That Roared"? The design as described in the book and shown in the movie is a red double-headed eagle, one head on the left, the other on the right, with its wings outspread and two scrolls at either side of the eagle, with one reading "Aye!" (or "AYE!", "Aye" or "AYE") near the left head, and one reading "Nay!" (or "NAY!", "Nay" or "NAY") near the right head. This design is in the center of a plain color white field. I also request that the same user who creates the flag of Grand Fenwick also creates the coat of arms of Grand Fenwick, which has an identical design to the flag but with the eagle and scrolls placed on a white shield instead. Besides the two images posted above (though please remember that the coat of arms I posted is inaccurate and is meant to match the flag), here's some more images of the design of both the flag and the coat of arms in these three links posted here https://www.otherworldproject.com/wiki/images/3/34/GFenwick-flag.gif https://www.fotw.info/images/f/fic-gfen.gif. https://ib.frath.net/w/images/0/05/Fenwick_flags.gif (for the last image, the flag is marked with the title "(a) Classic"). This request was originally posted last year but there was no response from any user here, which was disappointing. This time, I hope to get the request fulfilled and I'll be grateful to see it done. Just in case the fact that this was posted on April 1 (April Fools Day) might put people off because they think the request is a joke or a prank, I'd like to say that this request is serious and I actually want it done. Thanks in advance! 93.107.219.204 (talk) 19:55, 1 April 2024 (UTC)

It's great to see someone actually take up my request! To help you out, I've posted another version of the coat of arms which is bigger and therefore shows more detail of the eagle and the scrolls. Thank you Fvasconcellos for your good work.--93.107.219.204 (talk) 18:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Can someone make a free version of the Gloster P.376 three-view found online?
- Article(s)
- thin-wing Javelin
- Request
- The thin-wing Javelin was a version of the Gloster Javelin of dramatically improved performance. It was never built beyond a partially complete prototype, and I've never found photographs of it. The best I have found was a "three view" illustration from a book, which I have put online at imgur here. Can someone make a libre version of this illustration?
This diagram is needlessly complex in places. If it makes it easier, the dotted-outline indications of the landing gear can be removed. There is also considerable detail in the flaps and spoilers seen on the right side of the top view that can be simplified, those are the bits that have a sort of cross-hatching in them. The various "mid-lines" on the center of the fuselage and missiles can also be removed.
Thanks! Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:32, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

- @Maury Markowitz: Here you go, let me know what you think! Also, if you could provide a citation for the book so I can add it as a source, that would be great. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 04:50, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- If the original was copyright free one could make an exact copy otherwise one would need to use an artistic version. Anyway, this request led me to make my first steps and experiment with Blender 3D - and I am yet to figure out how to make an airfoil cross section for the wing, smooth edges etc. But for a very rough toy model do check Shyamal (talk) 16:58, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

- Please make a house flag used by:
- Pittsburgh Steamship Company [https://nmgl.org/wtt-pittsburgh-steamship/
- Pickands Mather Group [1]
- Interlake Steamship Company, The middle stripe is a little wider than the others. The symbol on the flag is a simple funnel drawing, [2]. It's too simple to be covered by US copyright law. A contour map of Great Lakes is superimposed on the funnel.[3] [4] [5]

- @Swiãtopôłk: This batch was actually quite challenging. There appear to be different versions of the Pittsburgh and Pickands Mather flags depending on the source, so I've uploaded two versions of each. As for the Interlake, our maps of the Great Lakes are quite different from the one used on the flag in terms of projection and scale, so this is not going to be a perfect match, but I think it's close enough to be informative. Let me know what you think. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 01:31, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Fvasconcellos: Thank you for your work and thoroughness. I only have one comment about the first Pittsburgh flag. The "P" in the original has a more angular shape. FOTW admits that it based its drawing on a blurry photo where stars can be counted. The rest is great. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 06:31, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ah yes, I'll work on the "P" to make it closer to the specimen. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 01:24, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Flags of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company
- Article(s)
- Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, Leasowe Lighthouse, Liver bird
- Request
- Please make four flags of Mersey Docks and Harbour Company. Two of them are red and blue ensigns [6]. Although I don't intend to use it, I'm also asking for the badge, maybe it will come in handy someday. I am adding a laurel wreath from another file, but there is no need to change anything in it because it is similar enough to the source. The next two flags are the house flags. [7] I don't have a source to confirm this, but I suspect that the red one was for the lightships. The lighthouse looks similar to the Leasowe Lighthouse - east side, but the drawing is not of the best quality and it does not need to be reproduced perfectly. The white flag [8] contains a drawing of a Liver bird. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 08:04, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Discussion
- @Swiãtopôłk: Blue and red ensigns done, will work on the other ones. The badge is easy to extract from the flag into a separate file if you let me know what color scheme to use (it's white, so will not show up without an outline or background). Fvasconcellos (t·c) 01:51, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Fvasconcellos: Thanks for the flags, as for the badge, make it white with a black outline. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 07:13, 27 April 2024 (UTC)

- Could anyone create a separate, truncated version of this logo without the castle imagery? The logo is used only for the article's infobox which already features a real-life image of Cinderella Castle being used to identify the park. Presently, the infobox looks cluttered with two images of the same castle. It would be better for the infobox to just use the vector logo and the real photograph of the castle. - Hi, I'm wondering if someone can please a SVG version of the original flag of Springfield, Missouri? it is based on the Missouri state flag (a tricolor flag with a stripe of red, white and blue in that order from top to bottom and the seal of Missouri in the middle of the white stripe) but with the seal removed and replaced with the word "SPRINGFIELD" colored in blue and placed on the white stripe and below it, the word "MISSOURI" placed colored in blue and also placed on the white stripe. The original flag of Springfield, Missouri also adds a white star to each of the four corners in the red and blue stripes. I think this one will be very easy to do and will be done quickly.
